- Does macOS have a tool that can take the content of "some window" and then OCR and translate it in real time?
The original requirement was for iOS App to translate Japanese into Chinese in real time, and I felt that it would be more feasible to achieve it by projecting it onto macOS.
- Faithful horoscope-watching, practiced daily, provides just the sort of small but warm and infinitely reassuring fillip that gets matters off to a spirited start.
- I thought I was benefiting the Indians as well as the government, by taking them all over the United States, and giving them a correct idea of the customs, life, etc., of the pale faces, so that when they returned to their people they could make known all they had seen.

- If China is helping its domestic industries charge an artificially low price for solar panels and other environmental goods, then China is violating international trade rules that it agreed to when it became a member of the World Trade Organization.

- I've been very, very lucky in my career, in my life - from day one. When aspiring directors say, 'What's your advice?' first I say, 'Be born the son of a famous director. It's invaluable.'

- I’m not a major fan or banter. But it’s useful because it shows we are human. Anywho, I was outvoted and we didn’t cut anything out thanks to @lens/lawsn & @lens/neplusultra. Except really bad things.
In this podcast we discuss Polygon and its fall from Glory, as it was the top low fee EVM chain of last cycle, to its current state.

- Marvin was severely stuck for something to do, and had taken up composing short dolorous ditties of no tone, or indeed tune. The latest one was a lullaby.
Marvin droned,
“Now the world has gone to bed,
Darkness won't engulf my head,
I can see in infrared,
How I hate the night.”
He paused to gather the artistic and emotional strength to tackle the next verse.
“Now I lay me down to sleep,
Try to count electric sheep,
Sweet dream wishes you can keep,
How I hate the night.”

- Reverie.
Nestled within the heart of an enchanted forest, lies a magical pond. Contrary to popular belief, its magic doesn't lie in casting spells on those who gaze upon it, but rather in the profound lessons it presents. This pond remains hidden within the depths of the forest, revealed only to those truly deserving — those in dire need of its wisdom. For those who chance upon it and open their hearts to its teachings, their lives are forever changed. Within the pond reside two significant elements.
The first is the soul of the viewer, taking the form of a beating heart upon initial gaze, symbolizing a deep connection with the pond itself. But there is more: accompanying the embodiment of the viewer's soul is the shade of a woman. She represents the ethereal beauty within each individual, enlightening the viewer's path and revealing the inherent beauty within their own soul. This woman signifies transformation.
Together, the woman and the heart serve a singular purpose: to reveal the beauty within oneself. The pond has become sought after by many, albeit unconsciously, for they cannot find fulfillment within their societal confines. They are unable to feel happiness, reach their full potential, or find their true path, having sacrificed their souls to the superficial conformity demanded by society. The pond's purpose is clear — to unveil the viewer's intrinsic beauty, long overshadowed by external influences.
Beneath its surface lies a profound message, revealed to each soul at the right moment:
“Resist the Mirage. Embrace your uniqueness. To conform is to risk losing oneself. Denying your true self is surrendering to a life of discontent.”

- been hoarding this one for a long time. the beginning of a new journey. back to japan for the first time in three years after covid. the dark of winter. not realllly knowing too many people. staying in what felt like a glorified hotel room in a quiet part of town. lots of walks through this windy neighborhood and many rainy nights. always stopping to peek into the old man karaoke bar. it was this time that my brain was on fire with inspiration and i couldn’t put the camera down. i made 1000 images in these 3 months. since the end of march 2023 i have made maybe 300. sometimes it’s flowing sometimes it certainly is not.
