- Juan Mata revealed why he missed his penalty against Bayern in the Champions League final:
"It’s funny, because our goalkeeping coach told me that Manuel Neuer would go to the left when a left-footed player took a penalty and I was planning to listen to him and put it to his right, but at the last minute I had the feeling Neuer would go to that side and I changed my mind. That’s why I missed."

- 🔙 In June 2005, Park Ji-Sung became the first South Korean to play in the Premier League. Manchester United fans thought that his arrival was a mediatic strategy to sell jerseys abroad making it so difficult for him to settle in.
However, with the help of Sir Alex Ferguson, he adapted to the league, his teammates and the English lifestyle. A few days later, the coach said: “He´s the kind of player everyone would like to have on their team." So it was, he won 13 titles with the Red Devils: FOUR Premier Leagues , a Champions League and a Club World Cup, with more than 200 games on his back.

- **Gianfranco Zola about Maradona: 🗣️**
Maradona was an amazing person both in and out of the stadium.❤️
When we won the Scudetto, the bonus belonged to the whole team, except me and Tarantino, because we were just little boys, but when Maradona found out, he did his best to give us the same bonus as the rest of the team.
- Throwback to when FIFA caught 4 men playing for Iran national team.

- **Roberto Carlos on Ronaldinho**
🗣 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐬 – "Marking Ronaldinho was the hardest job in football. One second he's behind you,the next second he's scoring a goal. One day,in the El Clásico, I decided to punish him, I kept on telling him about his girlfriend, every time he was close to me I would ask him how she is doing. At the 78th minute, he told me that his girlfriend had asked him to score two goals as her birthday present. When the game was at 87th minute he had already scored two goals and one assists and then he told me; 'you have failed again'.

- Story of my life: My football career cut short, but I never stop being healthy.
I was at a very young age when the doctor told me I couldn’t continue being a football player due to my weak heart, and ever since that I was advised to stop playing football I couldn’t control my emotions because that’s literally what I love most, but regardless I gotta prioritize my health first.
Since then, I've been on a food and fitness journey most of my life. football career was cut short, but I never stopped pursuing a healthy lifestyle. Everyone is always amazed at my energy levels and gernal positivity.

- In the 1990s, Peruvian football, as well as that of the entire continent, was revolutionized by a team with a very particular characteristic, which earned it international recognition from FIFA: we're talking about Unión Minas. 🇵🇪⛏️
And what makes Unión Minas so special? Well, as a home team, it knew how to be a fortress. Their stadium, in Cerro de Pasco, is located at an altitude of 4,358 meters above sea level. 🥵
It's this fact that FIFA recognized, naming their stadium as the one located at the highest altitude in the world. It's hard to believe that players used to need oxygen during halftime to recover from the exertion. 💨

- Throwback to when Samuel Eto'o did the "old man" celebration in response to his coach(at the time) Jose Mourinho referring to him as an Old man💙😅
The former Barcelona man was 32 at the time, which was fairly decent for a striker. He had just secured an unlikely move from Anzhi Makhachkala to Chelsea
Before the match vs Spurs in the 2013/2014 season, Mourinho was caught on camera suggesting that Eto’o was 35 rather than his stated age of 32
11 minutes into the second half, Eto'o showed no signs of ageing when he pounced on Jan Vertonghen’s disastrous back-pass to put his side 1-0 up.
While the goal was brilliant, it was his goal celebration — walking like a hunched old man to lean on a corner flag, feeling his back — brought a smile to his team-mates and Mourinho.
Eden Hazard's goal and Demba Ba's brace ensured Chelsea recorded a comfortable 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge
After the game, Mourinho could not help but see the funny side to the whole thing
‘I didn’t suggest the celebration but I knew about it,’ laughed the manager afterwards.
‘We thought it was good because the best way to defuse the situation is to make fun of it.’
Samuel Eto'o did the same celebration when he scored in Cameroon's 2-2 draw with Germany in the build up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup
A Legend 💫

- Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶🇬🇶 striker Emilio Nsue has been suspended indefinitely by the country's football federation.
The 34-year-old was allegedly involved in "several episodes of serious indiscipline" during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
NSUE HAS NOW HIT BACK: In the Instagram live video he did with Iban Salvador - whom was also suspended, Emilio Nsue said:
“These cancerous and corrupt people who manage football in Equatorial Guinea took 1 MILLION EUROS for themselves and left the national team in bad conditions.”
He also accused the officials of forging documents and also stealing. 🇬🇶🇬🇶
“The only congratulations I received when I got my top scorer award came from the Ivorian authorities. My country has been ungrateful to me.”
