1. It’s decentralized and composable.
All Lens data is stored on the Polygon blockchain. This means that no company has control of your data, only you do! No one can delete your profile, posts, or followers
Composable means that all of your data (followers, posts, etc) appear on every Lens website/app… it’s all shared!
If you switch to a new Lens website, your data is already there!
2. Posts can be collected
Every post can be “collected” a set number of times for a price set by its creator. When a post is collected, a “collect” is created. This is a copy of a post. Each post can have a limited amount of collects
Collects can be collected on most Lens platforms and can be bought, sold, and traded on LensPort
Collects function as the economy of Lens! They are a novel new mechanism for creators to earn and for collectors to feel social ownership

You may know I am a professional at @jessyfries.lens . I asked Fries Gpt for inspirations and I come up with my representation of "The Queen of Fries". The story for this piece starts with the myth of "Arachne", **a weaver so skillful that she was able to challenge Athena into a competition**. Even though she won, Arachne was turned into a spider because the goddess couldn't handle to loose to a mortal. I wanted to reinterpret this story by making The queen of Fries owning the curse of talent, turning her into a Web 3 mythological creature, that creates an intricate web of projects meant to Shine like stars in the Decentralised universe.

Ivano Salonia is the creative director of UFO, based in Amsterdam. An artist, musician and creator in extended realities and virtual worlds. He is the artist behind the UFO poster art and NFTs.
Since July 2022, Ivano and @hollins.lens have been creating the visual identity, art and brand of UFO. We went to ETH Tokyo in April and hacked on a UFO project with Lens Protocol and @livepeer.lens. We just built a website at ufo.fm — an onchain radio station and club for music, arts and ideas. This podcast is the first on the network.
We talk about Ivano’s artistic practice starting out in advertising, design and brand. Doing work with global companies and agencies. How he became interested in making art in virtual reality, and experiments with AI and generative tools such as Midjourney. Diving into the web3, crypto and NFTs space from 2020.
We talk about the creative scene in Amsterdam and the creation of the UFO art style and drops including UFO Genesis Pass and the Frequency Modulation release on Zora, remixing a retro MTV ad from the 1980s.
