Here’s transcript of what I’m saying in the video:
Hey there, I wanted to take you behind the scenes of my sketching process today. The focus of this sketch has been improving my ability to draw hands, a skill I've been actively working on. I found a cool photo of hands on Pinterest, which served as my reference – Pinterest is my go-to for inspiration for most of my drawings.
I kick off the sketch with loose outlines, I'm looking to add some movement to the composition if I can. Hands have always fascinated me; they're such a complex thing to capture. And let me tell you, I get why a lot of new artists shy away from drawing them – it’s not easy for sure.
Once I'm more or less content with the composition and shapes, I transition to outlining. While you can spot those butterfly rings in the picture, I'm considering altering them in further iterations of this piece. I prefer not to copy the reference photo entirely; instead, I strive to infuse my own creativity into the drawing.
I hope you enjoy witnessing my drawing process. I'm aware that professional artists may approach things differently, but this is my personal flow when it comes to creating my digital sketches. 💗

This is the first movement from my ballet On The Other Side written for choreographer Chanel DaSilva and Parsons Dance. It explores themes of isolation, communication, and distance.
We recorded On The Other Side at the famous Ocean Way Studio in Nashville, TN.
The combination of marimba and piano creates punchy accents in this rhythmic movement.
