Continuing with stories from Venezuela 🇻🇪 Just some of the questions I received when I posted a video on my story holding an anaconda. Yes, it's a real anaconda, and no, it's not tame. If a snake can be considered tame at all. However, what you see is much less scary and dangerous than it looks. Anacondas live freely on the largest farm in Venezuela, Hato El Cedral. Will everyone who comes here run into them? Not really. It took us over an hour of searching. When I say us, I mean our ranger and the farm workers. I would truly be crazy if I were wading through the swamp alone looking for them. The farm employees take care of the anacondas if something happens to them. If an anaconda is injured, they care for it and return it to its natural habitat after recovery. Anacondas don't bite, essentially; they coil around their prey and consume it whole when they are sure it's dead. That's why we were somewhat safe during this activity. One should never approach an anaconda from the front. The length of anacondas can reach up to 10 meters. There are rumors of sightings of ones over 15 meters, but everyone we talked to said that hasn't been documented in their lifetime. By law, if they find such a long anaconda, they have to report it, and officials come to measure it. On this day, we woke up at the crack of dawn, around 5 AM, to witness the sunrise 😍, and also to try our hand at piranha fishing.
