- My .lens handle gets more offers than any NFT I own…unfortunately those who wish to buy it will have to pry it from my cold, dead hands.
- We're thrilled to announce that MadFi has integrated Messari's formula for valuing Lens profiles into our leaderboard, offering an alternative way to rank creators. This formula takes into account the activity level of Lens profiles as well as the influence of their network.
With this integration, creators on our leaderboard will have an even better understanding of their reach and influence. We're excited to provide this valuable tool to help our community grow and thrive.
If you're a creator or simply curious about where you stack up, check out the MadFi leaderboard at https://creators.madfinance.xyz/creators/leaderboard. See how you compare to other creators based on activity and network influence.
- Web3 social platforms are on the verge of disrupting traditional Web2 social platforms by addressing their shortcomings. But how are they doing it? To answer this question, Research Analyst @allyz.lens delves into user behavior and engagement on one of the leading social graphs, @lens_protocol.lens
In case you're not familiar, Lens Protocol is a smart contract social graph built on Polygon that empowers creators to own their Web3 identity, data, and connections. What sets this platform apart is the competitive nature of the various apps on top of this social graph.
To stand out in this ecosystem and attract users, developers need to create the most innovative and useful applications. Many Lens Protocol applications, including @lenster.lens, @phaver.lens, and @orbapp.lens have done just that, experiencing a significant increase in daily active users and engagements.
However, while engagement serves as a critical indicator of health and adoption, Lens Protocol's engagement features have some nuances not typical of Web2 social platforms. These features include posts and comments that are user-owned and stored within a ProfileNFT, collects that are a method for creators to earn revenue also stored as an NFT, mirrors that are similar to an RT with potential use case for advertising, and more.
But the primary distinction between Web2 and Web3 social apps lies in the interoperability of Web3 apps. Web3 apps enable seamless connection to any front-end application on the social graph, which is crucial for the success of a social ecosystem. The dynamics of user interactions within an ecosystem can be understood by analyzing network graphs. If you're interested in learning more about Lens Protocol's network graph, influential applications, user behavior, user retention and migrations, and what lies ahead, check out the full enterprise report from @allyz.lens. It's a must-read for anyone interested in the future of social media.

@GainsNetwork_io owns forex, @GMX_IO dominates $ETH and $BTC volumes, @dYdX's orderbook and UI has attracted institutional investors.
@SynFuturesDefi’s niche is in its ability to offer any long-tail crypto asset. https://t.co/0FwZQx6TdO

- Stepped away from lens for a bit. Cool to see @orbapp.lens add the NFT toggle setting for posts 👀
- Do we have any NFL fans that have been whitelisted.
I’ll happily carve out a niche in football and football analysis.
- The fact that we don’t have a MySpace-Esque DeSoc front end yet is wild…anyone??
- I’m finding that through brute force I’m getting better at giving myself grace. I’m not great at it. But it is necessary, for those that are truly trying to do better for themselves and others. It allows you to get back on the horse after a bad day, down moment, whatever it may be. I think grace keeps you humble when things go better than expected as well. Enjoy stasis. Don’t seek new highs or lows.
- I think manifesting is a thing because your negative intuition is often right. So by talking nonsense to yourself you at least buffer that negativity until it actually happens.
As opposed to being negative the whole time through to resolution. That’s my take at least.
- Many times the mentality is to prepare not to fail.
When has that ever lead to greatness. Greatness comes from preparing to succeed.
Allowing yourself to play life hard and fast, understanding that you’ll make more big plays this way.
- The beauty of @LensProtocol.lens is in the subgraph. The ability for users to post, own, and distribute their content across the various front-ends opens up a world of possibilities.
However, I’m not smart enough to speculate on these possibilities, so I’ll stick with a brief reaction to the three front-ends I have used and what makes me excited about the Lens ecosystem.
1. @lenster.lens
The OG, or at least the first front end I was introduced to. Simply posting abilities. Desktop ONLY, unless that’s changed. And that’s where it ended for me. I know damn well that unless I’m working, which is when I’m typically not posting on my personal social, I won’t be anywhere near a desktop.
2. @phaver.lens.lens.lens
Phaver was my answer to the desktop dilemma. Much like Lenster and @orbapp.lens.lens.lens the feeds are trash. This is to be expected. .lens handles are still permissioned, folks are farming for an airdrop that may or may not come. We are certainly early. Nonetheless Phaver was simple to connect to. Smooth for the most part, it is however missing some items that will inevitably shift me to Orb for the time being…
3. @orbapp, your feed/algo much like the previously named front ends is not great. But…the recent editions/upgrades to video/image posting make this feel like a fleshed out front end. Orb will be what I use until further notice.
With that said, kudos to @stani.lens, @lensprotocol.lens, @lensterc.lens, @phaver, @orbapp, and the others I haven’t tested. This is one of the most exciting spaces in crypto no doubt.
What makes me excited. While the front ends are fun crypto is about ownership. How will these apps flesh out incentive models? Daily staking on @phaver, incentivizing mirrors? Pay for exposure. Novel video front ends like @dumpling.lens. Dao run pages like @korudao.lens. The sky is the limit.
Again before this gets too deep. H/t to these teams. Many are incredibly lean. Don’t tell Elon he will likely make more cuts knowing this.

- Now that my .lens is tied to the @orbapp.lens front-end…should I give my opinion of the front ends I’ve used?? *I realize no one cares what I think 😂*
- I resonate with folks going on the same journey that I am. The one that imperfect. That is realistic. That involves failure and conscious acknowledgement of those failures. Enlightenment can be a foolish term. Your recipe to wake up the next day and give the best you have is all you have. Finding a place in life where your brain shuts off and you’re in auto pilot isn’t a thing, that’s selfish. It’s finding solace in the simple things, it’s feeling successes and failures with the same gratitude no matter how much it irks you, and it’s raising your status because you want to and understand that the better you do the more scrutiny and attacks will likely befall you because life does not like when you’re at peace. And that’s truly it, regardless of religious or spiritual views. It’s being at peace. Where you find that peace, that sense that “everything will be alright” is up to you.
- Humans need static variables. Life is more dynamic that we can handle sometimes. While some find these static variables at work as it resembles their hobby, many don’t have something healthy with a positive input=positive output equation. Find that thing, protect it.
- My main complaint with lens rn is the lack of interesting content.
I would imagine bots have farmed many of the avenues to obtaining the initial .lens access.
Excited to see what happens when it is opened to the public. I would imagine people would be more careful/thoughtful on what they post if they understand that their social graph lives in perpetuity.
- Think about how difficult it is to obtain dormant handles on Twitter.
You find an account with your namesake, it’s been unused since 2009, how do you secure it?
Without it being an NFT you slide into this humans DMs, they likely request payment, you trust them to send it to you. This is wild.
Web3 fixes this. Send an offer, accept offer, it’s in your wallet.
Domains like ENS and Unstobbale Domains go a step further, requiring renewals.
- Think about this…this post is on every front end using lens…
- Sickest @orbapp.lens update so far! Congrats @nilesh.lens & team! 🪐🔥
- This is the future of content amplification 🌊
- Love to see it
- Hey…your social graph is showing 🤭
- What is everyone’s preferred Lens front end and why?
I probably don’t have enough clout to warrant an answer but I’m intrigued.
Switched from Lenster to Phaver for mobile. What’s the word on Orb?
- I feel like @stani is an auto follow…like the Tom Anderson of Lens

- Pretty cool to jump onto Phaver for the first time to see followers I know personally who likely saw my handle and first post on lenster.
- Have we seen any early monetization efforts from Web3 influencers on web3 social platforms using the tech provided??
- So is my first post technically an ERC-20? @stani.lens
