- `getting started` with #lens in 5 steps 🪴 [June 2023 update]
(0 a) maybe consider adding some information about yourself and a pfp to your profile before you start.
(0 b) "hello world" posts get quite some attention ... 😉 . (if you can post something related to what you are interested in ... 🎇 -> People you start following might take a look at your profile and follow if they are interested in the content you share.) Find one great example at the end of the post.
(1) https://lists.inlens.xyz/lists/818891525288558593 *updated* - list of great profiles to start your lens journey ... you will discover a ton, worth following profiles in the communities of people in this list. lists.inlens.xyz/ in general is a great starting point.
(2) find your twitter contacts on lens: inlens.xyz/ (not everyone with a lens profile, active on twitter, is very active on lens (yet ;-)). Maybe consider connecting with new people, sharing interesting content on lens.)
(3) probably you read this post on @lenster.lens . If you are interested in lens mobile apps, @orbapp.lens and @buttrfly.lens are at the moment - imo - the most advanced general purpose lens mobile apps. One of the beautiful things regarding lens is that it doesn't matter which lens app you use, every lens app has access to the same content and social graph.
(4) what you share on lens is stored and publicly available for a very long time. Probably forever. You can hide posts, comments and mirrors. But that's a front-end feature, the data is still available and publicly accessible.
(5) "collects" are a very powerful concept, adding a NFT version of the post to your address (4th symbol below a post on @lenster.lens ). Collects can be monetised -> creators can use collect fees to earn money on lens.
**one more thing** :-) being active, commenting on posts and topics you are interested in goes a long way. Of course there is a chance that your posts will be discovered, commented and mirrored, but you increase the probability of being discovered dramatically with valuable comments. @jeanmi.lens increased his followers +5k within 39 days. How he did it? "be yourself, try to engage with people, sharing images seems to accelerate engagement/growth, people love to ‘GM'"
One more one more thing ;-) the latest notification update shows notifications for profiles one follows and a few other profiles only (if the filter isn’t deactivetd). -> at the time of writing it’s quite challenging to get attention, especially for new profiles. 2 approaches to get some visibility:
**[1]** @animators.lens started on lens drawing lens PFPs https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0108fb-0x75 . Imo still one of the best (high quality) growth hacks I’ve seen on lens yet (0 to 100 followers). Maybe you can think of something inspired by @animators.lens ’ idea based on your talent and skills.
**[2]** consider joining the next “little lens game” edition :-) https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0f85-0x1407 . The little lens games intends to be fun (of course :-)) and requires to follow other lens profiles for 24/48 hours closely. -> your content will have at least some exposure to people beyond your followers. (Please let me know if you would like to join.)
**[3]** consider joining communities on @diversehq.lens (e.g. you can post directly to the @mixtape.lens feed, be active in the #lensfit community or join c/food)
**[4]** consider contributing content to the weekly “this week on lens” series ( https://lenster.xyz/posts/0x0f85-0x18c1 ) or other content threads.
**[5]** @ profiles you think your content is relevant for or you would like to get input from. Pls be selective and not spammy.
`cover artists of the month`
TYSM @arterlioz.lens AND @cybershakti.lens for creating this beautiful getting started cover 🤍🙏
**Collect is the #lens super power**. The “gettting started” post is a 333 limited edition (0.3 WMATIC with 50% mirror fee share, the collect fee goes 100% to the artists.)
What does it mean? You can collect one of 333 available NFTs of @arterlioz.lens and @cybershakti.lens ‘ awesome artwork (and this post :-)). If you mirror the post and the post will be collected via your mirror, you will get 0.15 WMATIC. The revenue generated from the collect fee will go directly to the artists’ address.
Is there any utility? Everyone who collects this post can suggest and vote on the next “getting started” cover artist.
AND @arterlioz.lens and @cybershakti.lens created an **additional artwork (1:1) that will be raffled** **among all the collectors** 🎇. (pls collect within the next 5 days to be eligible for the raffle.)

- Some insights about workouts....
There are many workout schemes that can help you gain strength and muscles, and the best one for you will depend on your current fitness level, your goals, and your preferences.
Here are a few popular workout schemes that you may want to consider:
1 - Full-Body Workouts: These workouts involve training your entire body in one session, typically two or three times per week. Full-body workouts are great for beginners or those who don't have a lot of time to spend at the gym. They also allow you to hit each muscle group multiple times per week, which can be beneficial for muscle growth.
2 - Split Workouts: Split workouts involve training different muscle groups on different days. For example, you might do chest and triceps on Monday, back and biceps on Wednesday, and legs on Friday. This allows you to focus on each muscle group more intensely and can be beneficial for muscle growth and strength gains.
3 - Powerlifting Workouts: Powerlifting workouts are designed to increase your strength in the three main lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. These workouts typically involve heavy weights and low reps, and are ideal for those who want to focus on strength gains.
4 - Bodybuilding Workouts: Bodybuilding workouts are designed to maximize muscle growth and typically involve higher reps and lighter weights than powerlifting workouts. These workouts often focus on isolation exercises that target specific muscle groups.
5 - High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): HIIT involves short bursts of intense exercise followed by periods of rest. This type of workout can be great for improving cardiovascular health and burning fat while still maintaining muscle mass.
Ultimately, the best workout scheme for you will depend on your goals, preferences, and current fitness level.
It may be a good idea to work with a personal trainer or fitness professional to design a customized workout plan our keep following us here 🙋♂️🙋♂️🥳🥳😂😂

- YouFolio Alpha Update.
Thank you to those of you who have been participating in the YouFolio Alpha! This period is meant for us to experiment and learn from the community.
Now that the alpha has been going on for about a week, we'd like to review it and the community feedback.
@chaoticmonk.lens provided some great feedback about the potential of bots in the future. Since posts can be collected by a bot, it's likely that almost all Creator Tokens in the future would be minted by bots and not people, which creates a problem. Additionally, he found the use of only the first minted Post as a Creator Token to seem arbitrary and exclusionary to the rest of the collectors, which is a valid concern. We've come up with a solution that should solve both of those problems and are looking forwards to implementing it and testing it, this is why we have the alpha! The solution would include an auction mechanism for all new posts, very similar to how Nouns DAO works. More details coming soon!
@danisnearby.lens has created a Creator Token gated telegram chat for @stani.lens Lens DAO, and it's been a pleasant place to discuss topics related to DAOs and other Lens ideas. This was created after the (still small) community voted for it on Tally.
@grams.lens has also created a token gated chat for his DAO and also included different ways to enter like owning other NFTs he's created on other platforms.
We've introduced holders-only feeds that the community have been experimenting with. To post to a creator's feed and to view it, users need to hold the creator's token
There have been a number of great creators on Lens who have reached out to have their own DAOs, which is great! For now we're keeping the number of DAOs very small, as YouFolio is still in alpha, but we look forward to adding more soon!
We've noticed that many of the existing holders of Creator Tokens (first NFT minted from a post) haven't been active in the community and probably don't even know about YouFolio! This obviously creates a problem when a big part of the holders don't know about the community. We're looking into a way to keep community members that have been active and redistribute ownership in a fair way to those that want to be part of the community from those that don't. Stay tuned for more info!
Overall, this week has been a great learning experience for us and the community and is exactly why we have an alpha in the first place... to figure out how to build the best product we can!
- Hey Lufo, I would assume the badge goes away after some time of inactivity. I don't know when or by what parameters, pretty sure @0xmoe.lens would know :D
- A question for intelligent people like @chaoticmonk.lens
so the loyalty badge of @buttrfly.lens goes away if you don’t use their app constantly? Sort of “you need to get addicted to Buttrfly to keep it active”?

- Hey guys I'm applying for frens role ❤️
I'm daily post crypto news an updates hope it's knowledgeable and helpful for you guys, hope phaver also like my post and actives and give me frens role as soon as possible thank you frens ❤️❤️❤️
- I'm Japanese and mainly post cryptocurrency related posts on phaver. Posts related to NFT, trading, snapshots, etc. Sometimes I post pictures of landscapes and my cat. At first, I wrote in Japanese, but I started writing in English halfway through to study. I'm not good at English, but I'd be happy if foreigners gave me a thumbs up. I use it on my iPhone, but it is very easy to use and useful. I don't have many followers yet, but I want to work harder and increase my followers. I already have more phaver followers than Twitter followers! Recently, phaver has been posting more frequently! I want to continue using phaver!

- Centralized exchanges (CEXs) and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) are two different types of platforms for trading cryptocurrencies.
Centralized exchanges are operated by a central authority, typically a company or organization, that acts as a middleman between buyers and sellers. They hold users' funds and facilitate trades, often charging fees for their services. Examples of centralized exchanges include Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken.
Decentralized exchanges, on the other hand, operate in a decentralized manner using smart contracts on a blockchain network. They allow peer-to-peer trading without the need for a middleman or a central authority. Users retain control over their funds and execute trades directly on the blockchain. Examples of decentralized exchanges include Uniswap, PancakeSwap, and SushiSwap.
Advantages of Centralized Exchanges:
Liquidity: Centralized exchanges typically have higher trading volumes and greater liquidity, which can make it easier to execute trades and find buyers/sellers for a particular cryptocurrency.
User-Friendly Interface: Centralized exchanges are typically easier to use, with a user-friendly interface and a customer support team available to assist users.
Security: Centralized exchanges often have robust security measures in place, such as two-factor authentication and encryption, to protect users' funds.
Disadvantages of Centralized Exchanges:
Centralized control: Since centralized exchanges are operated by a central authority, users are required to trust that the exchange will act in their best interests and keep their funds safe.
Risk of hacking: Centralized exchanges are often targeted by hackers seeking to steal users' funds. Even with security measures in place, centralized exchanges can be vulnerable to cyber attacks.
KYC/AML requirements: Centralized exchanges often require users to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) process and adhere to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, which can be time-consuming and invasive.
Advantages of Decentralized Exchanges:
Decentralized control: Decentralized exchanges eliminate the need for a central authority, giving users more control over their funds and reducing the risk of censorship or manipulation.
Privacy: Decentralized exchanges do not require users to complete a KYC process, which can help protect users' privacy and anonymity.
Lower fees: Decentralized exchanges typically charge lower fees than centralized exchanges, as they do not require a middleman to facilitate trades.
Disadvantages of Decentralized Exchanges:
Lower liquidity: Decentralized exchanges typically have lower trading volumes and less liquidity, which can make it harder to find buyers/sellers for a particular cryptocurrency.
Complex interface: Decentralized exchanges can be more difficult to use, with a less intuitive interface and less customer support available.
Security risks: While decentralized exchanges are less susceptible to hacking, they can still be vulnerable to smart contract bugs or other vulnerabilities in the underlying blockchain network.
In conclusion, both centralized and decentralized exchanges have their own advantages and disadvantages. Centralized exchanges offer higher liquidity, a user-friendly interface, and stronger security measures, but also require users to trust a central authority and adhere to KYC/AML regulations. Decentralized exchanges offer more control over funds, greater privacy, and lower fees, but can be more difficult to use and have lower liquidity. Ultimately, the choice between centralized and decentralized exchanges depends on the user's individual needs and preferences.
