- We are excited to introduce Transporter, the next evolution in cross-chain bridging, powered by Chainlink CCIP: https://www.transporter.io/
Built in association with the Chainlink Foundation, with support from Chainlink Labs, Transporter radically simplifies the experience of initiating cross-chain transfers over CCIP.
CCIP (backend) 🤝 Transporter (frontend)
All Transporter transfers are secured by Chainlink #CCIP, the only cross-chain solution with level-5 security featuring:
• Multiple decentralized oracle networks
• Independent risk management
• Battle-tested infrastructure
• Configurable rate limits
• Comprehensive audits
Bridging assets shouldn't feel like throwing tokens into a black hole. That’s why Transporter's visual transaction tracker provides users with real-time updates on the exact status of their cross-chain transfers, end-to-end.
Transporter was built to abstract away the complexities of accessing the cross-chain economy. Through an intuitive interface, dedicated customer support, quickstart guides, Smart Execution, optimized fees, and more, bridging has never felt so seamless.

- 🔒 Web3 Watchtower: Common Attack Vectors 🔒
Effective crypto hacks on users often use simple forms of deception.
While staying secure in crypto—and across the Internet—means staying constantly vigilant, there are two key moments when you should always pause and double-check that you’re safe.
In security, an attack vector refers to a common method or pathway that an attacker uses to complete their objective, whether it’s stealing digital assets, breaking into a network, or capturing sensitive user data.
While the end-to-end process for an attack can be complex and take time, there are key moments that determine its outcome. For user-specific attacks, there are two major moments that mark the difference between success and failure:
**1. Sending transactions:** From malicious [address].eth domains to wallet look-alikes where the first and last characters match, many successful attacks occur when a user doesn’t take the time to fully confirm a destination address. Remember, once a transaction is sent, it cannot be revoked. It is best practice to always confirm the full destination address when sending a transaction, and, for large transactions, to consider making a small test transfer.
**2. Approving dApps:** Using a dApp requires that users give specific forms of wallet approvals to an application. Users should always make sure to check they have the right domain and understand the wallet permissions they’re giving. Once a malicious approval is granted by a user, the attacker can successfully perform an attack provided the user does not revoke permissions before the attack is executed. It is a best practice to revoke all approvals after you have finished using a particular application.
Essentially, the outcomes of crypto-based scams often become inevitable at these two critical moments. In most cases, these user mistakes can be easily prevented by taking a pause to ensure all domains, approvals, and other important details are correct.

- **🔒 Web3 Watchtower: Circuit Breakers 🔒**
Circuit breakers are often the last line of defense for critical infrastructure: data warehouses, financial markets, & more.
The onchain ecosystem is no exception.
The role of circuit breakers and how they protect onchain markets:
**What Is a Circuit Breaker?**
Traditionally, a circuit breaker is a safety device designed to prevent fire by protecting electrical circuits from damage.
Over time, the term has become widely used in the financial industry to refer to a form of emergency measure that halts trading activity temporarily when certain conditions occur—often when market prices drop significantly in a short time period.
**Circuit Breakers for Onchain Markets**
While onchain markets are often completely automated, circuit breakers are a useful mechanism for protecting users against drastic market fluctuations or black swan events.
Three ways circuit breakers can be implemented in onchain markets:
**1. Tokenized assets:** As assets transition to a superior tokenized format, circuit breakers—alongside proof of reserves—become increasingly necessary to protect onchain markets against potentially undercollateralized tokenized assets such as by preventing minting if there is insufficient collateral.
**2. Wrapped assets:** Wrapped assets represent ownership over a canonical asset on another chain. Circuit breakers that use cross-chain proof of reserve feeds are important for DeFi markets to account for black swan events that cause a discrepancy in the 1:1 parity between wrapped and base assets.
**3. DeFi markets:** Automated circuit breakers that halt trading for specific assets in DeFi markets during exceptionally volatile periods can calm trading activity, provide time to re-adjust liquidity, and help the market stabilize.
The ultimate goal of any market circuit breaker is to protect and stabilize. As the Web3 industry matures, circuit breakers will play an important role in providing users with cryptographic guarantees that ensure that when abnormal events occur, there is an automatic, defense-in-depth process that mitigates and protects against severe outcomes.

- **🔒 Web3 Watchtower: Code Audits 🔒**
Code audits are often used to signal a dApp’s security to users. They’re certainly important.
But not all code audits are the same—and it’s vital to understand what to look out for when reviewing code audits.
Three tips for gauging dApp security as a non-technical user:
**1. Audit scope:** Backend and frontend, offchain and onchain. The attack surface of a decentralized application (dApp) can include all of these, and a maximally secure application will have all of these elements audited.
**2. A wide range of audits:** Maximally secure applications employ multiple *reputable* auditing firms along with** crowdsourced auditing platforms. This helps ensure a large number of security experts with a wide range of expertise have tested the code.
**3. No additional code:** Audits don’t protect against future code updates. dApp upgrades require new code, and thus another round of audits to check for new attack vectors. It’s important to make sure dApp audits are up to date.
**4. Stay cautious:** Even a well-audited project can have undiscovered attack vectors. Just because a project has been audited, or even audited multiple times, does not mean it’s bug-free.
In Web3, security isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s a necessity. Understanding these best practices for code audits in Web3 (and beyond) can help you get insight into a dApp’s security level without needing to understand the code.

- **“We’re shifting to production deployments.”**
Having worked with well over 40 institutions globally at Chainlink Labs, Niki Ariyasinghe shares his insights on the rapidly evolving landscape for tokenized assets:
**1. Leading banks are preparing for the tokenization opportunity**
Following successful pilots on testnets, premier financial institutions are launching production deployments live on mainnet. This provides a blockchain-based foundation to support trillions of dollars worth of tokenized assets.
**2. Real volume is already moving onto these platforms**
Broadridge’s blockchain-based repo platform already has “over $ 70B of transaction value that goes through that platform every day.” This level of transaction volume for RWAs will expand and replicate across an array of verticals.
Unlocking the full capabilities of these tokenized assets requires a single platform that securely provides all data, compute, and cross-chain requirements: Chainlink.
