- First livestream on Unlonely was a success! Success in that people tuned in and at least 2 people were tuned in the whole time!!!
https://www.unlonely.app/channels/bradorbradley
as this was a first for me, i tried out a bunch of different ideas i wanted to talk about. i found a few i enjoyed quite a bit:
- scrolling through my saved tiktok playlists, watching a video i've saved, then discussing it. Would be fun to have other guests on to create discussion around these videos
- i showed some of my favorite shots i took at Yellowstone last week
- shared some choice tracks from my Soundcloud I have saved and the FKJ salt flats video, which led to surprisingly good discussion around Bolivia and a project to support animals
Gonna do more of these!
- **Momoka Scaling Solution for Lens - Why is it a game changer...✨🌿🧵**
**What is Momoka? 🤩 🌿**
Momoka is an Optimistic L3 scaling solution, that will process transactions at hyperscale, and is designed to support the next generation of web3 social users.
*See Lens' post for the deep rundown 👀*
**Momoka** address an issue that is as old as blockchains, block space scarcity...which translates to on-chain data storage scarcity. You may have come across the debate on whether NFTs who's metadata is saved on-chain are more valuable or not, or are we clogging up these chains.
This is a concern with blockchains because the more congested execution chains become, the more expensive they are to use. Hence, there has always been a concern regarding the feasibility of social media on-chain.
A lot of Lens apps currently are built in way they've obfuscated away the user having to pay gas on very TXN they create on Lens, subsidising them on the backend. A large part of this is because people would find it hard to stomach having to pay to make a comment, for example.
With Momoka, there is the choice of what should be on-chain and what doesn't have to be. I think this is particularly important because there are things you'd want on-chain and things you might not, like a causal comment.
**This does a two of things:**
Firstly, it improves the overall experience of using Lens apps as we're not going to have to wait for small interactions like comments to be indexed anymore. Low latency, Instant Verification!
Secondly, this dramatically decreases the costs of on-chain interactions as the network as a whole will be less congested with a lot of what people do Lens not being on-chain.
This has the added benefit of making it easier for Lens apps to reach revenue generation if they continue to subsidise on-chain activities and implement viable revenue models. Moreover, this allows for a more sustainable and productive ecosystem.
Aside from all it does for Lens and the viability for decentralised social, it addresses the same issues experienced by projects building in web3 gaming and so many other niches. It'll be interesting to see how Momoka evolves to support potentially various ecosystems in future.
Big congratulations to @lensprotocol, Arweave and @bundlr-network on the announcement 🥳
I'll be verifying 🫡 🌿

- Millions of Modular Blockchains w/Jimmy Chang | S4 E9
In this highly technical episode of Rehash, we sit down with Jimmy Chang, Co-founder of Catalyst, to break down some big brain topics in web3 and help listeners better understand blockchain technology.
Jimmy dives deep into the definition of a blockchain, as he explains the difference between monolithic blockchains, modular blockchains, and DAGs. He breaks down the 4 pillars of blockchain technology - execution, transaction ordering, settlement, and data availability and he explains how layer2s can manipulate those pillars to achieve a desired goal. We discuss topics like data availability problems and solutions, Rollups and RaaS, and Jimmy shares his vision of a million chain future.
We get the inside scoop on what Jimmy is working on at Catalyst, where he got his iconic hat, what he thinks of Ordinals, and some of his favorite experiments.

- Everybody loves the Amen Break
- Creating a typical NFT collection on Lens is difficult right now. Here are some of the reasons:
1. You cannot change the name of the collection/token, it will always be something like "username.lens-collect-n" and "name-Cl-n".
2. The NFT contract is not actually created until the first person collects the post. This causes OpenSea to think that the first collector is the creator of the contract and gives them the ability to edit the name shown on OS, description, graphics, URL, and even add royalties to sales.
3. All Collect NFTs have the same metadata, so every token ID will have the same assets.
I'd love to see this addressed at some point. Making the creation of Polygon NFT collections as simple as posting on Twitter appears to be a huge opportunity. You can certainly create your own Collect Module that would allow for solving most of these issues, but we can currently only use pre-approved modules and I don't believe that third party ones are considered for approval while Lens is in beta.

- Garden 🌼 Minting Now
Fuck it, I'm releasing my NFT project today.
It's called Garden 🌼
Garden is first and foremost an experiment.
It's an adventure. It's a tribute.
It's a memorial to all the incredible innovators, builders, artists and creators experimenting on the cutting edge.
Garden is an NFT magazine.
It's an outlet for my creativity. It's a way for me to share the stories, learnings, successes, failures, tears and joys of the fearless human beings who risk failure and embarrassment for the hope and dream of building something incredible.
It's a way to stay up to date of the developments in the Lens and Web3 creator and developer ecosystem.
Explore and learn from creators, app builders, artists, VCs and more with this one of a kind, first ever NFT magazine of its kind.
Be warned. This is an experiment.
It's not for the faint of heart.
It's not for the quitters.
It's not for the cowards.
But if you're brave enough to join me on this journey I'd love to have you by my side for the ride.

- 🚨BREAKING 🚨
Arbitrum has finally announced its long-awaited airdrop 🥳
$ARB will be used to govern over the Arbitrum ecosystem, and yes, will be airdropped to early users. It launches 3/23 🥏🥏🥏
You've got questions, we've got the answers.
🏛 $ARB will be used to participate in the Arbitrum DAO.
Arbitrum will be the first L2 to have “self-executing governance,” meaning governance will happen entirely on-chain.
Proposals do NOT have to be implemented manually by the core team.
$ARB isn't the only launch...
🛰 Arbitrum has also announced Arbitrum Orbit, a framework for creating L3s that settle to Arbitrum-based rollups.
L3s are “L2s for L2s” and retain the security guarantees of the L2 but allow for massive increases in scalability 🤯
For all of the details on ARB and Orbit (updating with the latest info!) and their implications for the L2 Wars...
Check out today's Bankless article

This afternoon, David goes live with OffchainLabs to discuss the $ARB Airdrop & Arbitrum Governance Launch 🥏

- Something cool that devs are doing with @LensProtocol is using it as an identity system similar to something like Auth0, Okta, or Cognito Instead of building identity infrastructure from scratch, get set up in a few lines of code while inheriting the 100+K beta users of the Lens social graph 🌿
You can either use the GraphQL API, the React Hooks library, or the new widgets library which will get you up and running in as few as ~10 lines of code for Sign In with Lens + Profile view
