- Just thought I’d share a snippet from work today. Architectural details provide a way to work out concepts internally with the design team and communicate design intent to the contractor. Since it’s ultimately up to the contractor to build the designers vision, communication and clarity are key…it’s also a well-known-seldom-admitted-fact that messy drawings cost more money to build.
