- Introducing Bonsai, an Optimistic L3 scaling solution, that will process transactions at hyper-scale, and is designed to support the next generation of web3 social users.
Available for Lens devs in closed beta today.
Data availability layers are utilized to prevent storing information on-chain. While content on Lens may include an on-chain transaction, the content data is linked to a data availability location, like Bonsai.
Bonsai serves as a scaling solution that processes Polygon transactions off-chain, achieving hyperscale and reducing costs. Unlike L2 solutions, Bonsai doesn't compress transactions into L1, it sends and stores them on a data availability layer.
The main challenge for decentralized social networks is to ensure that users have control over their content, while still being just as user-friendly as traditional social networks.
Bonsai makes the future of decentralized social possible.
We've worked relentlessly with the @bundlr-network.lens work and Arweave teams to ensure scalability by providing Data Availability (DA) guarantees, allowing the use of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-supported wallets to save DA logic and facilitating the rapid publishing of data.
Permissionless innovation is at the core of everything we do on Lens. As we approach one year on mainnet (still in beta), we have been blown away by the talent and passion in our dev community but we realize in order to scale to the masses, we need to build new solutions.
Bonsai is currently only being beta tested on @lensterxyz.
We look forward to seeing more applications roll out Bonsai.

- Everything we do, everything we are, rests on our personal power. If we have enough of it, one word is enough to change the course of our lives. If we don't, the most magnificent piece of wisdom can be revealed to us and that revelation won't make a damn bit of difference.

- **BioTrip cryptocurrency**
The Brazilian startup Biocase launched this month a cryptocurrency called BioTrip, created to finance research on the medicinal use of psilocybin, the chemical compound present in hallucinogenic mushrooms, according to information from the website Tilt, from UOL1.
The "magic mushrooms" are showing as a new pharmaceutical trend, the psychedelic industry, which bets on mental health treatments from substances normally consumed illegally and marked by prejudice, such as LSD and MDMA.
To finance the project, the Biocase startup launched its own cryptocurrency to help in research and drug registration. This solution of the startup had to be done due to successive cuts in public funds in the field of science. The cryptocurrency was called BioTrip.
The BioTrip is allocated on the Solana platform, which claims a throughput of 65 thousand transactions per second, considered high. As the cost of these transactions is much lower than the average of other blockchains, the expectation is that BioTrip will become popular.
1 BioTrip = 1 US dollar. Brazil is already the seventh largest global market for cryptocurrencies, and the first among Latin American countries, according to the Global Crypto Adoption Index 2022 report, released on the last day 14. But don’t go with thirst to the pot.

- "Atomic Habits" by James Clear offers a refreshing approach to achieving lasting change in our lives. Instead of relying on willpower or setting lofty goals, the book proposes that the key to success lies in the small, daily habits that shape our lives.
To begin the process of creating atomic habits, the book suggests focusing on creating an identity as the type of person who naturally achieves their goals. For example, instead of just setting a goal to exercise more, an individual can focus on becoming an athlete who loves to exercise. This shift in mindset helps to create a foundation for long-lasting change.
The book then suggests breaking down habits into small, manageable pieces, which are referred to as atomic habits. One example given is that of Dave Brailsford, the coach of the British cycling team. Brailsford's approach to creating atomic habits was to focus on small improvements in every area, such as finding the best pillow for better sleep or using hand sanitizer to reduce the risk of illness. These small changes added up over time, leading to significant improvements in performance.
The third step is to create a system to make habits automatic and effortless. The book suggests making the desired habits as easy as possible to perform while making the undesirable habits as difficult as possible to perform. For example, if an individual wants to develop the habit of reading more, they can leave a book by their bed or set a reminder to read for 10 minutes each night. Conversely, if an individual wants to reduce their screen time, they can remove social media apps from their phone or keep their phone in another room during work hours.
The final step is to focus on continuous improvement. The book suggests tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that individuals remain on the path towards success. An example given is that of Jerry Seinfeld, who famously used a calendar to track his progress in writing jokes every day. By tracking his progress, Seinfeld was able to identify patterns in his writing process and make adjustments to improve his performance.
Throughout the book, the author addresses common challenges individuals face when trying to create new habits. One of the most significant challenges is relying solely on willpower. According to the author, willpower is a finite resource that is easily depleted. Therefore, relying on willpower alone is not a sustainable approach to creating lasting change.
Another challenge is falling into the "all or nothing" trap. This trap occurs when individuals strive for perfection and become discouraged when they are unable to achieve it. The author suggests that individuals should focus on progress, not perfection, and that small, incremental changes are the key to creating long-lasting habits.
In conclusion, "Atomic Habits" is an insightful guide to understanding the science of habits and using that knowledge to create a better life. By breaking down habits into small, manageable pieces, creating a system to make habits automatic, and focusing on continuous improvement, individuals can achieve significant results and create lasting change in their lives. The book offers many examples of individuals and organizations that have successfully implemented atomic habits and achieved significant improvements in performance.
