Just wanted to share this here.. if you EVER have the chance to visit Beeple’s studio in SC, do not sleep on it. Last weekend at his studio completely altered my perception of Beeple & his work. Absolutely completely impressed by him, the totality of his work, & how utterly wholesome he actually is.

Yall…. Beeple’s studio is AMAZING!!! & I’ve never seen my artwork displayed this big before.. what a treat.. Great GREAT weekend in South Carolina.. so so impressed w Beeple, the work he’s done over the years, what he’s built in SC, & how much he’s centered his family in all of it.. Also, I hugged his Dad, who gave me & a couple others a little private tour of what is essentially a museum-like retrospective of Beeple’s work inside his studio building. Did you know that Beeple’s brother (an engineer) makes his rotating stacked digital cube screens for him? Just a super special family & super special weekend. Came away w a totally different understanding of Beeple as an artist. So much depth there in so many ways. 10/10 would recommend & 10/10 would go again.

Hi I’m Ashira, artist & mom, crypto class of 2017, nft class of 2021, I’ve lived many lives but throughout I’ve always been an artist. Here’s my version of Red Riding Hood below. Made her years ago way back when I was a bike messenger in NYC in the early 2000’s, & hand printed her onto stickers, clothing, hand made wallets & bags & so much more. Lately she’s been coming back into my artwork & I really wanted to honor that w its own mint. This particular ‘digital sticker’ was created from a scan of an old hand silkscreened vinyl sticker that I then turned black & white & digitally painted into. Feeling nostalgic… This is where onchain music started for me. *An Ocean* is my genesis blockchain project, minted in March 2021. 🌊 A three-song EP with unlockable content (hi res files), including composite photography with motion and 3D particle effects. Happy Bicycle Day. Stay safe if you partake. This was going to come up eventually.. since I make psychedelic music and perform it’s also my job to educate on harm reduction because I see it directly from stage and people overusing and mixing things. It’s very bizzarre seeing that in big scale when you perform. Next time I perform I might not even look at anyone in the eyes for this reason. I won’t perform if there aren’t freely available harm reduction tools like test kits and things to revive people from other types of overdoses. I posted on here that I was prescribed Ketamine recently and how it changed my life. I was a depressed, non functional bag of dead weight for a long time. My treatment ended a month ago. This isn’t medical advice but it helped me be normal and happy again. I know all my friends can tell. I am a proud donor of maps.org which is a non-profit organization. They’ve made it possible for people to access these in a controlled environment to heal people with mental health issues such as war veterans, terminally ill patients, and others, etc. Legal disclaimer: I am not responsible for what my music makes you do. Was wondering why there aren’t the extreme emotions on the ‘positive’ side.. like ‘ecstatic’ or ‘joyful’ or ‘energized’ etc etc.. Any ideas?

Did a neat little experiment on Warpcast a couple weeks ago where I auctioned off 4 pieces in my collection “Blackened Rainbows, Tender Cuts” for $degen tips. The top 4 high bidders each got 1 of 4 1/1 pieces of their choice, & the last piece became a bidders edition where everyone who bid got an edition so no one walked away w an empty wallet. It was super fun & I’ll def be doing it again. Thinking of doing something similar on @club/lens @club/orb w $bonsai as long as it’s not frowned upon.. Is that sort of thing frowned upon here or nah?

Gm. Don’t be afraid to try. Don’t be afraid to ***let people see you try***. ————————————- I was messing around w glitch apps last night, put this video in so I could play w it & then turned it into a bounce gif. I kinda love it. I shot the original video in 2008, in what was my bedroom at the time, which was also my art studio at the time. I had a ‘dirty desk’ where I painted, silkscreened, dyed stuff, etc. and a ‘clean desk’ for cutting and sewing. It was the best of times, and also extremely chaotic. Because I lived w my work so close, I felt constant pressure to always be working. It was rough at times but I loved it.. rolling out of bed and stepping right into my studio each morning before I even brushed my teeth.. I had to train myself to take breaks bc I was so rarely without my work staring back at me, tempting me to keep going, even if I had barely eaten & I hadn’t showered in days. I dunno that I would want to do that sort of thing again any time soon, but I loved it and learned so much, and I do miss the way I was able to focus on not much other than art at the time.
