- Celia was raised by a single mother in the Andes in Peru, where the term 'Cholita' is also used in a derogatory way, she explains. "Mostly to insult Andean people: because of the way they talk or the way they dress. It's been one of my missions to embrace where I come from and show the world how beautiful and rich our culture is.
- Phil's working life started with a 10-year stint as a motion designer. And despite the longevity of this role, it was something he fell into by accident. "I had created a collective (Zurich29) with a friend (Dorian Gourg), and we contacted MTV France," he reveals. "They hired us, and that's how I learned motion design.

- "Despite many societal barriers and obstacles the artists face, they don't give up and make a difference. For these artists, the brutality of history is a canvas, and their art becomes a channel to express their emotions of anger and misery. It is a sort of an outlet."
Art was also an outlet for Ghazal when she was growing up. She describes herself as a mischievous and naughty schoolkid who would vent her frustrations and pent-up energy by drawing caricatures of teachers while they delivered lectures. "I found myself packing up outside the class," she jokes.
Then, as a preteen, Ghazal's father bought her dozens of picture books and comics, and her love of the medium was born. "Doodling grew into a passion," she explains. "I departed from the much-cliched path of becoming a doctor or an engineer. I went to a boarding school, which was a defining moment for me. I worked as the illustrator for the school magazine and even represented the school in several cartoon competitions. While all this happened, my friends and family always encouraged me to pursue my passion."

- Balancer's new Boosted Aave Pools are live! 👻 🤝 @balancerprotocol.lens
Balancer has just released new Boosted Pools built on Aave V3 markets, showcasing that DeFi is built on the principle of composability. Aave V3 is the most significant upgrade to the Aave Protocol, securing billions of dollars in permissionless smart contracts.
Teams can build with bb-a-USD by using it as the base pair on Balancer to build new innovative pools and financial dApps. By building with the Aave Boosted Pools, integrators inherit the high-security standard built into the Aave Protocol.

- Hey everyone! This post is my attempt at some Socratic philosophy. Please read it scenically and with an open mind. The goal of this dialect is to either disprove atheism, or prove that there are two planes of reality. As a gnostic, this is an important exercise in affirming or proving my personal beliefs of the hypostasis. If you think of a good criticism, I would really enjoy it!
Here it goes:
So we are going to start by making two assumptions that have to be true for reality to exist in only one plane of existence.
The first assumption is: The universe must be infinite. If this is untrue then the universe must be contained within another set of reality.
The second assumption is that: consciousness is created by a summation of atomic like particles. If this is untrue then consciousness is arising (or in my biased opinion connecting) to our perceived plane of reality.
So the first natural question is this: Is consciousness made up of matter?
We look at the laws defined and say, “yes, consciousness is made up of matter.”
The next question is this, “Given infinite time, should our consciousness be reconstructed by the realignment of matter.”
When we look at the laws defined we should answer, “Yes, given an infinite time after death our consciousness should be reconstructed, and it should in fact be ‘us.’”
The next question is more perplexing: “Based on the statement that consciousness can be reconstructed given an infinite amount of time, would you say that in an infinite universe, you should be conscious in greater than one location?”
While unintuitive, the answer according to our laws is: “yes, of course.”
Now the follow up is the real killer, “Then why aren’t you? Why aren’t you or any of the other of billions of humans on earth experiencing.”
The clear answer is that one of the two laws is incorrect, imo disproving the notion of atheism. The best counter arguments imo are the monist-everything is happening in your head, but I still think that’s two planes: your head and perceived reality. And, there’s also the argument that consciousness is serial, not continuous, and generated in parallel with the surrounding universe, so the laws would be true and you would just be interacting with parallel universes simultaneously, but I don’t really buy that personally. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed and please lmk your thoughts!
- At its heart, though, Chaos, Tears and Joy is a book without grand moral. Instead, it's intended to serve as a time capsule of the 2022 World Cup and a book to remember the joy that it gave everyone. "If you like football, you should like this and recognise yourself in its pages. If you don't like football, here's your chance to experience the tournament without having to watch any of the games and maybe understand what all the fuss is about.

- Georgetown Optician is known for its pioneering approach to oculist science and trendy glasses frames. As such, the new social campaign for the company is inspired by sci-fi movies centred on a fictional planet populated by eyeball-shaped aliens (naturally, the star of the show's name is Eyelien).
- Georgetown Optician has been run by the same family for over 40 years and approached Design Army to create a campaign to promote its new store opening. According to the agency, there was a "crazy-short deadline to launch," but it viewed that limitation as an opportunity to be really creative. "It opened us to new ideas – how else can we create a super imaginative, powerful campaign?" Says Lefebure. "That's how we initially conceived the A-EYE-meets AI concept – because it's fast – allowing us to create a campaign in just one month (vs previous campaigns taking six-plus months for scouting, direction, shooting, editing, colour-grading, music, and beyond).
- While most of us are already sick to death of hearing about everything AI – and there's far from been a dearth of creative projects exploring the possibilities of ChatGPT et al., Design Army seems pretty excited about this "new trend in visual creation," as Pum Lefebure, chief creative officer and co-founder. She says that Design Army embraced AI "to see if it can be utilised just like any other design tool, and we were surprised by the result".
