After that lodge in Venezuela, I thought there was no chance of finding something similar anywhere else in the world. But here I am on my next journey at Vakona Lodge in Andasibe, where new adorable creatures, lemurs, reside!
Vakona is a private park that includes a hotel section. Since we weren't guests, we couldn't enter the hotel area, so I can't provide details about the accommodation. Regarding interaction with lemurs, it's possible even if you're not a guest, and the entrance fee is just under 10 € per person. Lemurs here are free but accustomed to humans, approaching closer than in other parks. Feeding or any interaction with guests is not allowed and is only done by the staff.
It's hard to decide which lemur is funnier and more charming, but the winner in sweetness is definitely the baby brown lemur that its mother carries everywhere. King Julien also lives here, who, unlike the penguins, truly comes from Madagascar 😁.
In addition to lemurs, Vakona is home to various other animals, such as crocodiles. They sleep carefreely around the lake and seem dead until a piece of meat is thrown to them. Now they don't seem as scary to me after those in Venezuela.
Vakôna is one of the most popular places for lemur watching. Tourists can see them up close at Lemur Park in Antananarivo as well, but also at one of the destinations we're heading to after Andasibe. 💚

- This is my first digital art. I drew everything on one layer with a screenless drawing tablet connected to my PC.
My transition was faster than I expected. I dove right in without taking any illustration tutorials. I already knew how to draw and paint, but it was more about doing it digitally. Quickly, I realized that my skills weren't sufficient. Drawing digitally is quite different from traditional art, so I took tutorials and learned about NFT creation and development.
My journey so far has been enlightening.

🦄 Phaver's name comes from the concept of "doing a favor" and originally centered around sharing favorites. Now, it has expanded to include creating original content while still emphasizing content discovery and sharing.
