The Lens team has introduced Momoka, a groundbreaking scalability solution that will process Lens transactions faster and cheaper. This will allow Lens dApps to provide the best user experience to LensFrens 💚
What is Momoka? 👇
@lensprotocol is building on Polygon, an EVM-based network. Social actions such as Post, Comment, Mirror, Follow, & Collect that are signed by users and sent to be stored on EVM create some problems such as speed, gas cost, and scalability.
That's where the Momoka comes in. While user profile data is kept on-chain, more frequently generated data such as posts is processed off-chain with Momoka. Momoka is a solution built on the Arweave infrastructure for the DA layer that can be used to store Lens transactions.
How Momoka works? 👇
Momoka creates a tx and requests a wallet to sign it, but doesn't immediately send it to the chain. Instead, the tx signature and type data are used as DA metadata, and the data is sent to a DA layer. This data is then confirmed by a node.
Momoka provides a Web3 social media solution that optimizes costs by sending transactions to data usability layers, rather than compressing them to an L2 solution like L1. This allows for high scalability, making it ideal for social actions on Lens Protocol.
