Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has stated in a blog post that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) lawsuit filed against Binance is an incomplete recitation of facts and that the exchange disagrees with the characterization of many of the issues alleged in the complaint. The lawsuit alleges that Binance operated a derivatives trading operation in the US and directed its employees to spoof their locations through the use of virtual private networks. The CFTC also alleges that Binance instructed US customers to use a variety of methods to evade restrictions on US-based customers.
