- The home of Happy Meals, MacKeeDees is laying off their corporate staff. No surprises, most listed companies are cost cutting to prepare for the looming mother of a recession in the US/world. It’s the way that is done that is leaving a bad taste in the mouth & their are no “upsized “ sayonara packages handed out from #management . The Macca’s style of firing is asking people to work from home them fire them online. Not sure if it’s a good thing. UPDATE: One of my mates, a long time senior exec of McDonald’s confirmed that the employees that were laid off did in fact get a call from their supervisor to give them the news. It wasn’t as cold as what the NY Times made it out to be. Irresponsible journalism to get clicks and sell ads. Shame on the NY Post!!!
- Grind tip. When on a tight budget building a startup & have meetings in town. Look for cheap parking (found a building under #construction into a new hotel, I told the guard that I am delivering some documents) then I walked down the road & used my mate’s co-working space for a few hours between investor meetings.
