- The Starbucks coffee chain is immensely popular among Saudis. I recently purchased this set, which includes a coffee machine, an espresso cup, Veranda blend coffee, and the most concentrated of them all, Sumatra coffee, all of which are Starbucks products.
Following my purchase, the cafe invited me to give them my opinion on the taste of Sumatra coffee as they are conducting a study on customer preferences and will subsequently send the results to their headquarters in Washington, USA.
I learned from them that the story of this coffee dates back to a species of tigers called Panthera, which is found on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia - the sixth-largest island in the world. These Sumatran tigers were on the brink of extinction with only 300 left in the world in the early 2000s. Consequently, Starbucks established a reserve on Sumatra island to protect these tigers, providing security companies, medical staff, water, and charitable work to help preserve the species. Indeed, their numbers increased to 500 tigers by 2012.
Starbucks extracts coffee beans from the excrement of these tigers, ages them for five years, and then serves it to customers as we see in the attached picture.

Lastly, through collective Value Share, they've expanded the possibilities for value sharing among users, algorithms, curators, and apps.
The programmable monetization layer allows everyone in the value chain to be rewarded, including users, algorithms, and other protocols.
