- Claimed my 'thank you' gift from @lens/bonsai to celebrate the fundraise! 🎉
- Ethereum’s biggest problem is cannibalizing itself continuously via all L2s competing over devs, users and liquidity rather than competing outside of the Ethereum ecosystem.
Microeconomics 101 would tell you this is a bad strategy. I don’t have the answer but it needs to be addressed.
- This is so darn cool!
- A quick note on next steps in Ethereum protocol simplification and node resource load decreases (aka "the Purge"):

- Bonsais keep growing even when everything as red as fire around it.
- I’ll say the quiet part out loud: L3s exist only to take value away from Ethereum and onto the L2s on which the L3s are built.
*You do not need L3s to scale*
And this is why Polygon Labs does not work on L3s.

- Aggregated blockchains take the best of monolithic and modular blockchains to unify users and liquidity while maintaining scalability.
But for aggregated blockchains to grow, they need to be neutral and accessible to all.
This is the role of the AggLayer. It is not Polygon's. It is everyone's
- If you do not want a chain to get congested, then do not used a shared state for hundreds of different applications.
Instead, let applications have their own block space and aggregate chains to still the benefits of unification.
- Thing about gud shilling is, people spontaneously and effortless talk about what they truly love. They can't stop in fact
Bankers talk about money
VCs talk about dealflow
Teens talk about sex
Vitalik talks about ethereum
The best kinda shilling comes from love of what you do 💜
- $BONSAI got listed on Polygonscan!
It now shows you the current value of your $BONSAI holdings - and is sorted above with all the other verified tokens (including our neat little bonsai token icon 😋)

- People say that using L1 is a better experience than using L2s but they are comparing apples to oranges.
The user action on L1 is buying L1 tokens on a CEX and sending to the L1 and then using it in an app.
The user action on L2s is buying L2 tokens on a CEX and sending to the L2 and then using it in an app.
Users needing to bridge to L2s is only for the incremental user who was on Ethereum before going to an L2.

- Days when new Polygon CDK chains launch are my second favorite days. My favorite days are when Polygon CDK chains launch connected to the unified bridge of the AggLayer.
Astar Network has launched Astar zkEVM, built with Polygon CDK, which is the first chain connected to the unified bridge of the AggLayer! We now get to share liquidity and users while aggregating as a community!
From a practical perspective, Astar zkEVM is doing something that hasn’t ever been done before: joining a unified bridge with Polygon zkEVM. This is the first component of the AggLayer. It means that instead of two L2s having two bridges to Ethereum, these two L2s share only a single one.
I’m obsessed with this. It’s a big deal. A shared bridge enables unified liquidity. Instead of a user having to withdraw funds in order to transfer assets between rollups—as is required in other multichain L2 ecosystems—users and developers on Astar zkEVM and Polygon zkEVM will be able to tap into shared liquidity.
And this is only the beginning.
I’m stunned by the amount of work that went into making this a reality. It required core developers from different teams to collaborate closely together—Astar Network, Polygon Labs, and Gelato Network, who was the RaaS provider. What’s been learned in this process is going to be rolled up to make it easier for future chains built with Polygon CDK—or using the Type 1 mode of the zkEVM prover—to connect to the AggLayer.
The next release of Polygon CDK is just around the corner…
An aggregated blockchain network is the only architecture I see that combines the best of monolithic chains with the best of modular. I’m super bullish on this vision. An aggregated ecosystem is one of sovereign chains with shared liquidity, state, and composability. I really believe this is the TCP/IP moment for blockchains.
Anyone can build with Polygon CDK and join the AggLayer. Anyone can help an aggregated future take shape. In fact, it’s closer than you think.
Congrats to the whole Astar team!
- Polygon PoS really is the home of the users. Want users? Come to Polygon PoS.

- With 2 chains connected to the unified bridge of the AggLayer (many more coming), the AggLayer is now the first and biggest aggregated blockchain network, all powered with zk tech. Polygon leading the aggregated blockchain way.
- Cool seeing a meme token on Polygon PoS, $BONSAI, airdrop to active Lens accounts in Season 1. They'll follow up with drops to accounts with open actions and eventually creators for their creative contributions on Lens.
- The aggregated path for dApp growth in the Polygon ecosystem:
1) Launch on a public chain, like PoS, zkEVM, and OKX, to find PMF within a niche
2) Expand in-ecosystem using the AggLayer, meaning that you have unified liquidity, minimizing dev lift
3) Scale to your own AppChain, generating sequencer revenue and customizability while maintaining unified liquidity

- I posted on the ApeCoin forum to inform the ApeCoin community of our next steps at Polygon Labs:
Hi Apes,
I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone in the ApeCoin community who voted and collaborated during the ApeChain governance proposals. I also want to provide an update on our future involvement with the ApeCoin community.
We have enormous respect for the community members and governance process and thank you for your insight, feedback, and excitement over the last couple of years. It’s been an incredible privilege to listen to your vision of Web3, and to share in turn how we see the future of this space. Even though the vote didn’t go our way, we believe there may be many paths to continue to work together in the future.
Many have asked what Polygon Labs plans to do with its APE holdings, so today we want to share our intention that we will begin selling our holdings one month from the date of this post. Our plan is to divest gradually over days or weeks to impact APE holders in the most minimal way possible. Please feel free to share any suggestions for a smooth transition.
But, most importantly, we aim to maintain dialogue while we continue to introduce groundbreaking technology. We’re building open-source ZK technology that can bring all of web3 together and foster unified liquidity, with the goal to transform the Internet. Feel free to reach out for more information or follow our blog for updates—and know we’ll be rooting for the ApeCoin community from the sidelines!
On behalf of everyone at Polygon Labs, we thank you again for this opportunity and look forward to collaborating with this amazing community for years to come.

- Aggregated blockchains are only possible via zk tech. Anything else lacks necessary security to unify liquidity and users.
- The aggregated blockchain thesis is playing out as expected. Modular stacks are realizing that they need unified liquidity.
- These numbers are getting huge!
- Aggregated blockchains scale infinitely using development kits like Polygon CDK and unify liquidity across the whole ecosystem. Both L1s and L2s can be benefit from aggregation in the aggregated blockchains thesis.
- congrats to the @lens/stani & whole lens team for the huge milestone! a lot of hard work went behind the scenes to make decentralized social happen!
we've been building on top of protocol for the last 22 months now! it's been an overwhelming journey in so many ways!
but today it feels like day1 again, super excited to bring the best of web3 social in a seamless way to @lens/orbapp!
