- After many years, we will see Ethereum founders @lens/vitalik and Gavin Wood in a fireside chat at Ethereum Prag.
This might be quite interesting, as both Polkadot and Ethereum share similar endgames and ethos, particularly regarding a single shared security model.
The differences are their timelines, how they solve the challenges, what compromises they make, and how they make decisions on what to build.

With 𝗝𝗔𝗠, Polkadot is becoming a true multi-core world computer capable of handling any type of service or app without scalability, security, or efficiency issues.
It has already become a multi-core processor, but this was limited to parachains.
The idea is to generalize this even further, to be utterly unopinionated about what and how things are deployed, turning all parachains, aka rollups, into an application layer service, with Polkadot itself transforming into sth akin to cloud service infra.
If Polkadot can catch up with network effects and establish a positive feedback loop, this could catalyze the blockchain space to the new era, moving from basic token swaps and copycat apps/chains to complex, fully interconnected apps that really operate seamlessly without any gatekeepers.
When Gavin Wood still releases a paper over 50 pages long, the normal is an illusion. What’s normal for the starfish is chaos for the spider.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes:
To navigate through all these noise, buzz and pumpamentals, and come closer to what the blockchain space might evolve into.

- A spinoff from the trend of DA is now the flourishing of RaaS (Rollups-as-a-Service) protocols.
Soon, we can expect rollapps like the 0xgoku chain to be deployed in just 2 min.
While we are battling with cross-chain bridging UX issues, it seems we might end up with users all having their own rollups — not serious🌚.
One of the most anticipated RaaS platforms, Altlayer, backed by Gavin Wood, is having its TGE soon.
It’s encouraging to see the PolkadotSDK/Substrate enabling these platforms to emerge.
Which other chains do you see using the PolkadotSDK without giving any credit?
- Polkadot’s fundamental shift:
• Slot auctions. Gone. Agile coretime, in.
What does this mean?
• Polkadot is, at the moment, producing and selling only large batches of pancakes for builders.
• It's now starting to offer single pancakes, pancake mix, eggs, flour, milk, salt – essentially, whatever builders need.
Why?
• Recognizing that not everyone wants to buy batches of 10K pancakes today.
• And soon, not only limiting itself to pancakes, but also will allow the making of crepes, cakes, pasta, and souffles.
Guaranteeing Michelin-star restaurant service quality with;
• under a minute fast finality,
• ~ $ 3.3 billion worth staked DOT providing high economic shared security.
• And, imagine a marketplace where you can trade these ingredients between each other, depending on your necessity and performance boost, as NFTs. Here is your first novel use case for NFTs.
When?
• Launch on testnet by year-end. Kusama in Q1 and Polkadot mainnet in Q2 2024.
How to kickstart the momentum back?
• Leveraging ~ $ 235M worth fat treasury under the most dynamic and engaging on-chain governance today. Treasury is now warmly calling you for your proposals.
• $ 45M grants program by the W3F to stimulate activity and ecosystem growth in all areas.
Apply now: x.com/web3foundation…
With all these, Polkadot is moving towards becoming the most resilient network within its protocol development structure and on-chain governance.
The era of ecosystem agents and builders begins now. Welcome.
"Show us you're real, build sth; it doesn't need to be perfect, a prototype, a demo on stage, show us it works, show us you have seriousness behind it, because crypto needs more than hype and buzzwords - it needs real builders and useful products" - Gav.

- At the core of blockchains, we mostly encounter the challenge of crafting highly secure and flexible blockspace; akin to sculpting a Michelangelo from raw granite.
Launching a sovereign blockchain?
It demands an orchestra of devs along with significant time and costs.
And you succeed?
Then facing with trust assumptions, challenges in communicating across chains and economic scaling issues.
The liquidity to secure all these diverse chains is limited atm.
Polkadot presents a highly secure bazaar where this prized blockspace is up for grabs, off the shelf regarding your specific needs. Whether you want to buy, sell, use, hold or customize it, everything is possible in this bazaar.
The currency for this bazaar? DOT.
If you recognize the importance of such blockspace and believe there will be a growing demand for high-quality blockspace with strong unstoppability guarantees in the future, then DOT's value becomes evident.

- So, we've got more blockspace than anyone actually needs.
Classic overkill, innit?
What's the next thing we're about to overdo?
- Polkadot: San Antonio Spurs
- Values fundamentals and teamwork.
- Needs to draft and find its Tim Duncan: not too flashy, but extremely effective.
Solana: Golden State Warriors
- Flashy, fast-paced, and enjoyable to watch.
- Needs to cut down on player payroll.
Ethereum: Lakers
- The OG team and franchise. Huge fan base and celebrities, deep pockets, and most of the players want to wear a Lakers jersey.
- Must decide on its direction in the post-LeBron era.
Cosmos: Toronto Raptors
- Diverse and inclusive. Able to scout and develop international talents.
- Needs to draft a young Draymond Green, someone who can elevate the entire team's defense.
- How would you characterize the builder and user cultures in Polkadot, Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos?
Eager to hear concise and distinctive insights; not maximalist.

- When we start seeing high-stakes governmental transfers between countries using blockchain instead of USD, the question arises: Will they be okay with current pay-as-you-go models, which lead to network congestion and arbitrary costs?
In the current system, a high-stakes governmental transaction and an NFT collection end up in the same queue, failing to prioritize tasks based on their importance or urgency. This forces participants to compete for fees without knowing the cost upfront.
Wouldn’t these governments prefer a more predictable, yet agile, blockspace model along with having highest unstoppability guarentees?
Which one is the closest having the agile core blockspace allocation model atm?👀

- Using buzzwords like "game-changing opportunity," Impact Theory is facing SEC penalties due to promoting KeyNFTs as investment and failing to register these NFTs as securities.
Be cautious when mixing NFTs and investment talk. Regulatory oversight is catching up, and it's not just traditional fungible assets under the microscope anymore.
Keep an eye on how this unfolds, as it may set a precedent in the NFT space.
It might be time to refocus on tech innovation in the NFT space.
Enter RMRK on Polkadot for instance: these aren't your average NFTs for flipping. They are EVM-compatible, agnostic standards that are also composable and multi-resource assets, unlocking untapped utility.
Let's think of NFTs not just as links to the pricey images, but as cryptographically unique assets with vast potential.
- So what we do now?👀
