Hey Social Payment lets creators earn from comments, reposts, and quotes on their posts.

Social Payment is how Hey turns engagement into author earnings. When someone comments, reposts, or quotes a post, they pay a small on-chain fee in GHO. Part of that fee can go to the original author.

What to expect

  • Comment, repost, and quote flows may require a Social Payment step after the publication is indexed.
  • Author share goes to the post you interact with — including nested replies that still credit the thread starter.
  • Publishing a new root post uses Social Payment too; today's schedule may send that fee to the protocol treasury.
  • Gas is separate from Social Payment totals. Your wallet shows the exact amount before you confirm.
