That depends… I divide into two areas: - functional fit - does the candidate have the skills to perform their task (or the potential to get to that level) - social fit - does she fit to our values/ mindset / ethics —————- First Part should be pretty easy, right ? Second part is the tough one. Try to get to know the person by asking: - why leave the old job? - why join your company? Why this role? - find something to criticize in the cv and watch how they answer the question - ask to describe themselves in three words and let them explain why - etc. I am always looking for healthy ambition paired with intellectual curiosity and team players. I listen to my gut. When my guts tells me there is something wrong , there usually is.
