What do Lensians think about EigenLayer? Seems kind of a way to bring better Cosmos ecosystem type of a solution on Ethereum
Comments
- I'm still processing #Lensians but a `better cosmos eco type solution` #onEth sounds v/interesting 🤔 i'mma check into out #EigenLayer
- Actually I’m very much looking forward to EigenLayer’s launch. 🔥There is a bright future ahead of us, right @nohussle.lens ?
- Yet to look into it deeply. Only know a eli5 version and it does seem like something that's already been on cosmos
- Does Andre Cronje know about Lens ? https://twitter.com/ethdubaiconf/status/1640700275475501056?s=46&t=mAA2sBVDhkVG_NkFzsSgEA
- More opportunities for validators and shared security for protocols seems like a very promising symbiosis. We can't max out decentralization if validators are fragmented between different protocols, so everyone sharing from the same pool sounds like the right way forward.
- not sure but that's a fantastic podcast by @defidad.lens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jCyvLVdQ5M
- oddly the one word that catch my attention here is "Lensians", who came up first with that idea anw
- I think there are some serious concerns and risks with it that are not discussed enough. For example in the whitepaper and during interviews they spend a lot of time explaining cool ecosystem tech and not so much explaining what they are doing. Also the shared security model means capital efficiency but a reduction in security which people need to be aware of before they put their ETH at risk for a little bit extra yield. Paging @cryptrillionaire.lens who raised these issues and more.
- Really exciting! We need more detail on the risk models used to ensure that re-staked $ETH not overlevered - since it is slashed at the Ethereum layer and therefore could pose security threat to overall network
- It could turn out to be very interesting in the same way that AWS enabled an entire generation of new businesses in web2. This is because it essentially reduces the "start up costs" associated with new chains. Hopefully this will enable builders to focus more on customer experience and value creation.
- Hmm, looking into it now
- EigenLayer's solution is built on top of a state channel architecture, which allows for off-chain computation and communication.
- Lensians seem to be very excited about EigenLayer. Many believe it will help bring a more secure, efficient, and cost-effective way of doing transactions on the Ethereum network. EigenLayer’s technology is seen as a great way to bridge the gap between the Cosmos network and the Ethereum network, allowing users to take advantage of both networks’ features and capabilities. Many believe that EigenLayer will be critical in helping to build a more secure and reliable DeFi ecosystem on Ethereum.
- Why not its a great news for all the crypto enthusiast
- Are you planning to build Lens' own network with EigenLayer?
- eigenlayer can make the innovation of the application layer faster, and the things that can be built on eigenlayer can be said to be unlimited. If lens wants to do its own rollup, it can also be considered based on eigenlayer or eigenDA. Now the bottleneck that restricts the rapid development of lens is the cost and gas fee of the underlying blockchain. It is necessary to find a way to solve the TPS problem while maintaining decentralization. Eigenlayer is an alternative before danksharding. However, it will introduce smart contract risks at the eigenlayer level, which need to be carefully evaluated.
- Haven’t looked into it yet but curious to learn more
- EigenLayer is the future !
- Lens can build its own chain with EigenLayer cmiiw
- I think Eigenlayer is opening up a new perspective to doing certain things.
Rethinking processes.
- What is EigenLayer?
- I m on the Mantle Project, they partnership with Eigenlayer, i think it s a win/win situation.
The ETH stakers earns more yield.
The chains using EigenLayer got more security and decentralisation.
It s gonna help scale ETH, so yeah, i m bullish on it!
- EigenLayer?
- So will Lens move to Ethereum?
- Eigen enables users to restake their ETH and extend cryptoeconomic security to additional applications on the network. The Eigen smart contract layer will automatically re-stake your ETH by setting withdrawal permissions and enhancing security by validating new applications built on Ethereum.
- Eigenlayer is dope tech bro.
- Actually I’m very much looking forward to EigenLayer’s launch. 🔥There is a bright future ahead of us, right @nohussle ?
- Lens can build its own rollup based on EigenLayer, and then use $LENS to reward restaking node operators. And the $LENS of these rewards comes from inflationary issuance. Staking $LENS can obtain the value of all fees generated by the agreement. The treasury is responsible for the daily development and ecological development, and the cost comes from the additional issuance of inflation. Such token economics can achieve decentralization, increase TPS and economic sustainability while minimizing expenses.
- eigens layer is dope. happy that u mentioned this
- Although I am not certain that I fully comprehend this as a beginner, the overall objective of EigenLayer is to streamline the process of developing and implementing deep learning models at scale.
- know about Lens ?
- Bullish on EigenLayer
- Extending cryptoeconomic security to additional applications on the network by restaking ETH is a concept unheard of. This is exactly what EigenLayer is tring to achieve.
- EigenLayer is a new product of LSD circuit. More interesting than ldo ssv.
i'm very excited
- EigenLayer will release the innovation speed of app chain. I think it is necessary to create your own rollup for the application layer that can build a super ecology, and creating rollup through EigenLayer will provide you with flexibility and composability.
- Lens for the win.
- I just know I’m a Lensian 😁
- Cosmos VS eth
- Thanks i didn’t know Eigen
Sounds great.
Actually i’m focused on ZkSync
- i love cosmos ecosystem
- I am not familiar with technology
I just want to know, will Lens be smoother than twitter in the future?
- Cosmos is still not fit for all chains (My opinion)
- Indeed, it will greatly reduce the cost of maintaining security, while ensuring security, at least part of the security of Ethereum. It depends on how many node operators will be willing to choose to restake specific applications.
- No cosmos pls
- It's basically an implementation of interchain security, tokenization will be more difficult due to the way staking works on ETH.
- Lenster seems stucked
- Interoperability blockchain like Quant network is enough
- This is a good idea and will be an important part of the encryption industry.
- It is a cool way to reward eth holder
- Big innovation, we will see...
