1. I really believe in the core idea of an open permissionless social graph and the benefits for all participants in sharing and creating value together.

Community, Community Community. What Lens is missing is a closer tie network. There’s lots of people here with all kinds of motivations but there is very little glue. It’s a wide and weak network not a small, close and tight nit one. Lens is still very much facing the cold start and we’ve seen for the last two years that the clients and their teams have not found a way to decouple their own growth from the protocol. What Lens needs is new small secluded networks that can build the foundation for more meaningful conversations. My biggest problem with the current state of lens is that it feels like the same 15 people that were active since the beginning but most of the other folks are not here to have fun with us. Composability has amplified this problem making most clients pretty much copy’s of one another with slight design / UX variations. Me and a lot of other folks still believe very strongly in the mission and vision behind Lens. I think leaning into more monetization and focusing on attracting liquidity is and has been the most important thing we can do to expand the conversation here. We’ve talked about this privately in the past and I still believe this is the key to a healthier flow of new people joining and staying in the garden.
