Even a few hundred milliseconds of latency is enough friction to lose a substantial amount of users. In web3 if apps expect to compete on UX (& at scale)

For the same reason I am convinced that we need native mobile apps - especially for anything social. Responsive websites or React Native/Flutter apps got really got recently, but still a giant leap to native imo. Right now it seems there is tons of resources and apps all tailored for web, definitely a huge gap there.
1000% You should really check out @dawson.lens ETH Bogota hackathon project that won as a finalist: https://www.txn.xyz/ You don't have to use ether js anymore, you load the heavy libraries at transaction time which is way after the initial page load.
