thanks for asking Vinod :-) awesome 🧅 imagine a new Layer 2 (just to give an example ;-)) goes live and you’d like to try a new app on the new Layer 2 (eg @basepaint_xyz.lens on base or mint an nft on zora). rn there are 2 options (best case) 1) bridge eth from mainnet to the L2 (pretty expensive, default) 2) bridge with orbiter (kind of expensive, not all chains available) Option 2 and especially 1 is - at least percentage wise - quite expensive. “Bridging” with #lensfrens is orders of magnitude cheaper = 2 erc20 transfers on L2s. **-> a few cents transaction costs vs a few usd**
