If you are incentivized to do an action does that mean that you are doing it because you are incentivizedm and not because you would like to do it? Or does

Doing something for the incentive doesn't necessarily mean I like it or want to do it. For example, depending on the circumstances, I can do a job I hate simply for the money and jump on the first opportunity to quit if I find something better. But again, incentives can make me do something I never necessarily thought I'd enjoy, like trading perps on Aevo.
More a motivation or encouraging someone who may not consider doing something without the incentive
I would say this is true to a degree but an individual gets to choose whether the incentive is “real” to them or not yk
bro let the philosophers deal with these kind of confusion
Incentives exist on a spectrum. Concrete <-> Abstract. Zurf is a concrete incentive. Follow & Repost and get .1 MATIC Points are Abstract because we are looking for an airdrop but it is not guaranteed. Concrete incentives are when the economic incentives become innate, or so close to the chest that it’s almost a guarantee people follow it. For example a validator not doing their job is penalized with a slashing. Note concrete incentives are so ingrained because they take something from us and/or offer us something too.
Sometimes incentives are a way to get someone to do something.. And eventually they do it because they like to do it. Are we talking about actions in life in general or when it comes to #DecentralisedSocial
Incentives are good to pull people on to the project very rapidly
It's like a certificate after school...when going to school ...you had no idea what you'd encounter....however ..the thought of the end result made u go nonetheless... While there you meet friends and make fun memories...what I mean is that... The incentives attracts ..but value keeps you
