Facebook could make their database more valuable themselves, but instead they builds apps and features which let the users make the database more valuable. 3 billion users can accomplish more work than however many engineers Facebook hires. Now artists can do the same: Build tools and apps which let the fans/collectors/users make the original work more valuable. Generative and Collaborative.
