Dan didn't handle it well, but that guy was also squatting on a bunch of channels with popular names. There was no secret that channels aren't yet decentralized and squatting isn't allowed. The real solution to this is for channels to become decentralized, which is on their roadmap. Then this sort of situation will be impossible.
