It depends. Qualitative content is content that is relevant for its target group and there are many ways to do it depending on the content, but on lens we are not there yet. In the "traditional" world you would also have metrics like conversion rate, playthrough rate for certain media types, time spent on content etc. We don't have demographic information that is available in other platforms like Facebook, although we have profile interests which goes into the same direction. And we don't have the algorithms that would enable marketers to make statements like: "70% of people from traget group X are likely to watch this video until the end.." High engagement is of course an indicator, but engagement alone isn't a sign of quality. You could of course go one step further and do a sentiment analysis of comments with machine learning tools. Of course the challenge is quality being subjective to each target group and content being timely.
i think that people who read, will tell you if its a good info for them or not, thats the way you can measure it.
