Well for one, ChatGPT. If you haven’t used it yet uh…you have to drop everything and do so. Human language (let’s be real, ENGLISH) now becomes the protocol for human-computer interaction. Tell ChatGPT what you want to make and it will create any software you desire, even in FORTRAN (see attached). You need an Uber? It will generate an “Uber App” on the fly, take your input, send data back and forth via the Uber protocol, and then destroy the app when the task is over. And yes, it can absolutely be a point of failure, there are many many issues to overcome. The first is to train yourself to not believe these things 100%. They are “probably” right but they are -not- calculators. I think that’s going to take some time for most people to unlearn.
