I'm with you. As a composer, Hirst's approach has its appeal. If everything I ever heard in my head was instantly deemed a fully realised composition, I'd be vastly more prolific 😉. But in my view that negates the actual job of an artist. Everyone has ideas; it takes vision, technique and perseverance to execute them in a form that others can perceive.
