What fucking nonsense are you on about. Channels have channel leads like on Reddit or any forum. I imagine even here channels will have some forum of guide

- Since the handles became decentralized I’ve seen no evidence (nor does there appear to be a way) to take away handles. This is fearmongering and I suspect you know that.
Regarding channels, they aren’t permissionless yet. That’s well understood. Even when they are anyone sensible hopes there will be a way to prevent obnoxious profiteers from coming in a squatting them.
Just don’t play this little Lens circle jerk game of pretending this is decentralized. Currently it’s a fully permissioned platform with a non-standard namespace, run on an “L3” above the least secure “L2” - truthfully it’s a sidechain.
And worst of all, people here have no understanding of the role social consensus plays in decentralization: probably >50% of it.
Code is not law. It never was and never will be. Why? Because people can always just spin up something different. And that’s great, that’s decentralization.
Side note: don’t police my language, decentralization maxi 😘
- Language, please. The main aim of decentralized social is censorship resistance. Even owning your social graph is a sub-product of the latter. Farcaster obviously lacks any structures and processes required to manage information space while maintaining such goals. On the contrary, they have repeatedly shown willingness to arbitrarily censor, take away handles, channels, etc. Mazemari's case might not be the best example but it falls under the same category.
FC is just another centralized social network, and we should call it what it is. That's why I'm on Lens. I truly believe we will manage to do much better here.
