quite a good take: we share your thoughts and are exploring making clubs composable across lens! maybe more discussion is just one LIP away?
we would love

- Permissioned only makes sense if you steward people into them. Currently most communities here seem pretty dead.
That’s probably a combination of having too many and leading them too top down (inorganic)
If you look at Farcaster they have Dozens of communities that were created by real people over the last two months.
They get created because likeminded people want their own space to get together and connect. They want a space that’s theirs.
That’s the basis for good communities.
If you can’t make the above happen it won’t matter wether they are composable, permissionless or anything else they’ll just feel empty and inorganic imo.
- I agree 💕✨ I always thought about reaching out and creating ORB communities/clubs but I worry they won't be interoperable and accessible on other apps.
For example, I envision communities/clubs at the @lens/dragverse as Drag Troops or Drag Fams where creators and users can create their our clubs to connect, join competitions, etc. Tho, I think it would be great for them to appear on other apps, so users can use whatever tools and platforms they like for whatever reason.
Maybe they use the Dragverse to create video content, livestream, but use ORB on the day-to-day to chat and run polls, etc.
- Once you add "tipping" to clubs, it gets more interesting.
We want to be able to tip meaningful contents
- I was thinking about that a lot.
- @lens/nilesh agree with @lens/watchereth need a two fold approach but you know more than any one im a strong believer in composable communities for web3 social - community wallets, graphs etc
- Last night I was streaming while playing F1 Bahrain track. I was streaming directly on Lens thanks to the @lens/lenspeer app 🔥🔥🔥
I only wished clubs/communities/groups were connected on each Lens app, that way much more people would have seen the stream, and might have joined 🏎️💨
Connecting the same functionalities on different Lens apps makes a lot of sense!
