He has a point considering its on Ethereum's roadmap to implement an enshrined rollup, an zkevm using SNARKs and native AA.

sure a ton of things can happen in the next 10 years. Assuming blockchain tech will be a thing then I am pretty sure it won’t be relevant for a user (and 99.9% of use cases) on which L2 the assets are stored.
