I think the issue is the amount of time you need to spend to make voice AI very good, to train it very well but I hear you - Siri hasn't been the best voice AI and would like to see improvements there
A somewhat defendable argument 6 years ago was "yeah but they're building Siri out in many, many languages so it's shallow but wide" but uh...there's no excuse at this point. I was the biggest fanboy and it's been impossible to defend Siri for years now, let alone w/GPT front and center.
If it makes you feel better, Google assistant also sucks 💩

I do see your point, but I think the thing is that OpenAI is so focussed and concentrated on one singular field: AI -- that it puts down industry giants like Apple, for example, who are more focussed on their products in general: whether it be their hardware, or their OS. * note: I have an Android phone and I love it
