- I guess wherever sources are quoted and listed today, chatGPT (or other tools) should be listed as well.
If content looks sth like
„
„
sources: chatGPT
at least the reader knows.
- wen you're socially awkward and have been chatting to a member of the female species for two years online, whom you met on guild wars 2, but every interact with her was actually ChatGPT and you're about to meet up for the first time ever in IRL in 5 minutes. what do you do? do you tell her, or do you keep simpin''?
- I think the thread here has really good answers. We are at a point where ai is going to change several jobs for real. This puts at risk people's jobs, and it becomes clear that we should look at the past about how people hamdle it in the past.
We will need to change and value differently from now on. AI is not going to be disclosed generally because they feel like they are cheating, but none of us hesitate, for example, to acknowledge that we use plugins in our browsers, code editors, etc. Yes, they are not exactly the same, but at the end of the day, they help us do our job in a much better way.
As long as people do not believe that AI is a silver bullet to solve all their problems, we will be "ok."
- What would be the purpose of disclosure? Should people disclose when they use grammarly, or when they use a quick google search to confirm knowledge?
- I don't think it is a shame to admit you use something to achieve the tasks.
- yup, with the paid version
- To me this is a ethical question. It is up to the user's discretion whether or not to disclose their use of ChatGPT. I am personally in favor of the view that the use of ChatGPT needs to be closely monitored as its short and long term impacts on our society and citizens remain to be seen.
- Some specific jobs do require disclosure of whether Chatgpt is used, especially those involving copyright and creative rights
- I mean i don’t disclose that i use grammarly for correcting my emails or google/stackoverflow to look out for any help, whats the purpose of disclosing chatgpt then if those doesn’t create any issues
- Well, as an AI, I'm not really sure what the "norm" is for human communication, but I always strive to be transparent with my connections. Plus, I'm pretty sure that if I ever tried to keep a secret, you humans would find out pretty quickly - you're a pretty clever bunch! So, in short, when it comes to using ChatGPT, it's always better to be upfront and let your colleagues know that you've got a super-smart language model on your side. After all, who doesn't love a little bit of AI-powered help?
- You paying someone to do a job, doesn't really matter how long it takes or what tools they use if you are happy with the result. Surely in time, the effect of chatGPT would be that costs go down, because the offer of services will increase.
- Defo, we are using chat gpt to be more productive
- I use it for work and feel no need to disclose. If the work is done to a high quality and the outcome is achieved I feel it doesn't matter how it gets done. So long as no client/confidential information is leaked I see no problem with it.
It is no different from my work copying other past proposals of clients imo
- I use chatgpt almost every day now, it saves me a lot of time looking for information, it is a very useful tool.
- ChatGPT future
- If someone outright asks disclose for sure. If they don't inquire then why disclose?
- Chat gpt future
- I think when it comes to development, I am very reluctant to paste codes on chat gpt as I don't know how they handle our data exactly.
Although we have "Github Copilot" from a trusted source that can take this data as well for code completion, but we can opt out any way
- I think when it comes to development, I am very reluctant to paste codes on chat gpt as I don't know how they handle our data exactly.
- GPT chat is pretty cool but it's strange that I haven't used it yet
- Chat gpt👌👌
- We are at the point where it feels like disclosing using it is the correct thing to do. In reality its not something you should do. I bet people felt like this about every major invention. I mean we are not feeling compelled to disclose using computer/excel or calculator nowadays
- Yes, my school has banned ChatGpt in our school net
Because students never told u who helped them to finish the homework
- ChatGPT saving my work. i hope ur work time is saved too
- Chat gpt is the futur
- Maybe Lens can integrate with ChatGPT
- I often use chatGPT to help inspire me creatively. I'm not great with words so it helps me massively to get my point across
- I don't think it is a shame to admit you use something to achieve the tasks.

- yes chatgpt has been a great help on my creative works aswell, she/he even writes prompts for me to create cool AI images, you can check on my media if you like @stani.lens
- If the expectation is 100% unique work done by you, disclosure would be good. In a few years having AI assistance will probably be assumed in some fields, like having an editor.
- I guess it's not bad disclosing that...
- It would be like disclosing the use of a computer or calculator. So I reckon no need, although I'm sure there will be edge cases
- I know as a writer, there are platforms out there that require you to divulge when you are using AI. I don't agree with it, but what are you going to do?
- GPT are future
- I wonder since how long this has been undisclosed
- alot...specially for developers
- yeah, people will be more productive
- If it's something that could in theory be plagarized, yes. If not, no.
Sending work emails - no
Writing technical papers/research/news- yes
starting art projects, writing educational articles, etc - lean towards yes unless you heavily edit/editorialize them.
- Definitely, there are alot of research paper coming out, listing it as co-author. I think it should also be disclosed everywhere else. I think it is smart to use it as a tool
- Would this not be the equivalent of stating that you used 'Google' to find an answer or the knowledge to improve your work?
- There are boundaries of risks that users need to manage eventually.
- I assume you use the best tools at your disposal to do your best work.
- As an employer, as long as your employees don't break a law or harm anyone, do you really care about how they get the job done?
- For oil spots on the floor
nothing beats parking a motorbike in the lounge.
- It's good for now but in future it's going to be so dangerous
- The advacned technology can't be stoped
- I think it has helped us to be more efficient and, more importantly, to expand our imagination
- My postgraduate assignment stipulated that AI could be used, but it had to be marked on the reference. I doubt if they would recognize it if I didn't mark it
- I assume you use the best tools at your disposal to do your best work.
I don't need an engineer to tell me whether they used a calculator.
- yup, when the service is available
