I’m very interested in hearing what both thinks. Our motivation behind creating @club/lips is bringing the protocol closer to the community. My gut feeling is that it is def easier to understand if explicit and at the very least more transparent. Furthermore this is also directed to apps, as we’ve seen apps trying to hijack referral fees and any kind of “free” hanging fees in order to generate revenue. I feel until we have improved smart contract implementations, something like this is needed for clarity and building something novel.
