💯 developer publishing their algos on Hey (and across Lens) is powerful. My take is this, people would like to choose an algoritm, but they should not do the mental work of changing. For example, while browsing TikTok, we don't really know if its the same algo or there is another algo that changes under the hood to match what the user is paying attention. There should be two kind of experiences. 1) Change an algo intentionally with great experience and 2) subscribe to algorithm changes automatically. Both could work, and I would believe the latter would be easiest to test different algos, based on attention user gives to the recommendations and content. Attention and engagement is the feedback loop.
When I start playing with it, I quickly get bored, I don't want to do it. I'd rather have the option of building my own algo - which I could take with me. :d
