Post by @alexatallah • Hey
Just finished Sam Harris' mindfulness series in the Waking Up app - highly recommended. Most meditation practices seem to assume you're already motivated

His wife's Annaka's interview on Lex was fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6zEzZCtkXw Will have to check the app, thanks for the rec! Would also love to do a 10 day vipassana retreat sometime
I'll give the app a go! Mindfulness and meditation is something I've tried to get into the routine of, but it hasn't stuck just yet
Thanks for sharing @alexatallah.lens - will check out the app. Had never heard of it. Always looking for new tips. I have started practicing mindfulness every day. Spending part of my morning at least 10 minutes disconnecting and priming my thoughts before the day. I have been finding it very helpful with all the external stimuli when the day starts. Allows me re-center. No where near complete meditative state, but improving every day :)
Big fan of Sam Harris, will check this out. My favorite book of all time happens to fall into this genre, No Death No Fear from Thich Nhat Hanh https://www.amazon.com/No-Death-Fear-Comforting-Wisdom/dp/1573223336 also highly recommended
very curious who in the lens community meditates? i always start for a bit then stop. i've used Calm, Headspace, but nothing sticks. Will def give this a listen!
