I think wrapping the UX of DeFi to be similar to what people are already using will also lower the entry barrier for an average end user.

The users must be better protected and the users must protect themselves better (do not fall for pishing websites, use hardware wallets) etc
I think there's still a big need to have easier ways of communicating risk and exposure. E.g. I put my money into appX which in turn deposits into appY which in turn has does something with appZ. How do I as a user actually understand where my risk lies? I suspect there's actually a really good defi product to be built along those lines, an aggregator like yearn, but which tries to operate within risk limits set by the user
