Team calls do not need to be 30, 45 or 60 minutes. They can be 3, 7, 12 or 18 min. Same for external calls. The method for reserving more time and winning

I think concise and clear communication should be taught from elementary school, too many people (including me) are not able to efficiently speak in a meeting, staying on a higher level and going only in the details when necessary - I’m always surprised when someone in a call just speak 5-10min without dialogue from any one - could have been a Loom then 🥲
Napolean limited them to 15. Even built special clocks for the purpose.
I think most calls are waste of time
Sometimes I like long calls because of the socialization with coworkers and friendship. Sometimes they can be exhausting and boring.
Those 30,60,90 call duration is corporatw shits as the upper management doesn't really have things to do other than trying to manage you and talk some nonsense
Community calls nowadays can easily host an hour, which is a complete waste of time, and I think keeping them to 10 minutes is best and concise.
