@lens/sidetalker already made a very good summary. It’s the social token which adds utility to collecting our Genesis Collection NFTs (wen u collect?) and generally being a community member and interacting with the project. We will continuously add more ways to earn $ELECTRIC and things to do with the token. Next up is to use $ELECTRIC for collectible posts (already possible on Kaira and coming to more apps very soon). And as mentioned on a bit longer timeline to be able to redeem Genesis NFTs with $ELECTRIC, etc… And we are also just experimenting, exploring and having fun with it.
$ELECTRIC is the successor to $BOLT, @lens/electricfilm's first ERC-20. $BOLT was earned through social tasks primarily on TaskOn. $ELECTRIC is currently passively earned by following @lens/electricfilm and holding their genesis NFTs (https://electric.film/mint). Recently made tradeable (but with no official LP), current uses for $ELECTRIC are outlined here: https://hey.xyz/posts/0x01cc0d-0x03f1-DA-c2888741 Future uses that have been discussed (but are not guaranteed) are minting genesis NFTs, early/behind the scenes access to their film (Electric Child), merch, and more.
