- I don’t think a project ever reaches a point where a DAO should be disassembled. At least I haven’t seen it yet.
- PoolTogether v5 essentially eliminates the need to govern the protocol. It also gives the POOL token a utility function. I believe over time, the community will use will use the token to reward community members for their contributions but not for governance
- None that I know of
- I remember a project on Terra collecting compounding interest for beneficiaries in perpeteum. Well, that failed nicely... but because of the Terra implosion, it's not the same case as your example, I guess.
- MolochDAO, HeroDAO, MVMF are some examples. I have quite a few. HeroDAO.org posted a post mortem on the event. Though I am about to revive HeroDAO, so I would have to agree with @augustuscaesar.lens. If a DAO is building open source prosecute and services, it should be left to pick up on later if anyone wishes.
- None that I know of, at least not at this early stage 👍
- Think there have been some smaller DAO projects based around charity/giving that have done this. I think AssangeDAO raised money for Jullian Assange, passed all the money onto Assange's Legal Team. They do have a Token/NFT project left, however more symbolic. All funds have been passed on.
