I just thought it's relevant to add that I know at least 3 couples who met on tinder, have been together at least 5 years and now are married. So it's all subjective experience :) The app is just the way you meet, the way how you choose the partner there is up to you
A long term partner is more like someone you're gonna get married with (or just live together long term if you prefer not to tie the knot). No, few dates don't count like a long term :D It seemed to me that many men (maybe women as well) use the app just to have one night stands, and it comes from the the nature of the app : you're flicking through the photos and usually trying to find the hottest guy/girl. Long term relationship is not something you have on your mind at that moment :) So to shift the focus of the app the match has to be based on something more than the looks. Maybe the profile description has to be more elaborate. But then it's going to be less fun
