what are your main points of criticism and do you see any alternative to gitcoin?

- UX is a disaster
- Omg I forgot gitcoin passport. Do I even need to go over how bad that thing is? 😂
- 1. The website UX is a disaster. A user going to gitcoin for the first time is more likely to close the website than figure it out because its that's bad, imo. Even recently when a new round has began, I would go to gitcoin.co and again have no clue wtf I'm looking at on the website because it's just such a mess.
2. Every round they seem to also change the website and somehow its worse every time.
3. It feels like almost everything I click opens a new tab or window for no reason.
4. The website is just incredibly buggy and will often not load a page for seemingly no reason.
5. Every new round they regress in UX and crypto support. This current round supports no L2's, despite being the entire point of Ethereums roadmap.
6. Transactions frequently failing and even when they succeed the gitcoin UX tells you it failed causing you to seek out support in discord.
7. There's been a recent controversy because gitcoin had announced a bonus funding round whose criteria requires applicants to meet the needs of an extreme US political ideology, as if any applicant team in the world even has a chance of doing that (not to mention solo dev projects). It seems Gitcoin has been affected by Entryism, which is obviously quite bad for what is suppose to be a neutral DAO.
(Side note: Jimmy Ragosa made a great point using this controversy about the recent debate of using the EIP1559 fee burn to fund public goods. The point is basically that humans have subjective experiences and can't make credibility neutral decisions by their very nature. Hence why Gitcoin is now pushing US centric politics onto the rest of the world. Tweet Source: https://twitter.com/JimmyRagosa/status/1654213669260087299)
8. Gitcoin has a known abuser on their review committee (of only 4 people) and won't even acknowledge it. The person has falsely accused individuals of nonsense in the past, ruining their day/s (one example was a guy at devcon who was with a photographer, and when the photographer was getting ready to take pictures of a group, the guy yelled "jump!" For the photographer cuz that's what the photographer would do. The woman who is in the review committee was in this group and reported this fella to the security of devcon telling them that he was taking inappropriate images of her on his phone. This resulted in multiple embarrassing incidents for the guy at devcon and he had no idea what was going on. He later found out and cleared his name. You can Google it to read all about it.)
It's quite difficult to use gitcoin when they're housing a know scumbag on their review committee and won't even acknowledge it.
I haven't seen any alternatives to gitcoin, but I also haven't looked. Hopefully some decent people fork it and make something better. I won't be using it again. Even without the controversies, it's just complete crap, isn't it?
