Curious why still using Pro Tools for mixing ? Understand it’s still considered the pro Industry standard, but can’t Logic & Ableton do the work without n

I always get the impression it’s also still seen at the major label & Hollywood industry standard’. A Few mix engineers i know always give me the impression that if they don’t use pro tools they look amateur when dealing with the big budget projects. Avid still have that pro industry on lock Thou also interesting that there’s a whole generation of bedroom music producers, making huge records made on laptop, fruity loops and a bag of weed 🤓

Good question Chris. I started using Pro Tools almost 20 years ago. There are certain workflows that I’m just used to, and feel natural to me. I’ve used Logic and Ableton on and off for the past 10 years, and I still don’t feel comfortable using them! 😂 But that’s not a problem with the DAWs, it’s me! I think it comes down to workflows in the end. Logic and Ableton are both amazing workstations, but Pro Tools feels like home, and I can edit and mix 10x faster on it. However, I do prefer using Logic for composing and arranging.
