Music producers, whats an optimal lenght for a song these days?

3-5 minutes. the ideal song needs to be just long enough to express its ideas and emotions, and should cut out anything that is unnecessary to preserving the listener's interest and prevent ear fatigue...unless that's the idea/emotion.
Depends on the genre - 4-7 min for dance tracks and extended mixes
