- I agree! A wallet-based music player would be an amazing way to manage a cross-chain web3 music collection.
It’s true - having music simply show up on the Lens feed is not enough. We need a standard way to identify music NFTs after they’ve been collected/ minted in order to aggregate them into a music player.
A wallet could be a good tool for this. Imagine opening your @lens/family or @lens/zerion wallet and your music NFTs show up in a native web3 music player! Embedded metadata and file indexing could allow you to search & organize music by artist, album, genre, bpm, mood, platform, chain, etc.
Music NFT indexes already exist - so the data is out there. But I think a web3 standard for embedding metadata during file creation is the next step. This way when files are uploaded, the required data is already embedded in the file, including album artwork, ISRC codes, ownership, etc.
