You tried the new chips in apple? I run tons of dockers and other crazy stuff and my laptop is insane and has no trouble at all

I agree, Apple Silicon is a game changer for my workflow. First experience with M1 was mind blowing: XCode + Android Studio + Simulators + few NodeJS instances running tests and bundlers. I could barely hear the fan. The top MacBook Pro i7 of the very previous gen was barely able to let me use XCode OR Android Studio one at the time.
Second what Brian said, the M2 chip is barely competitive and at such a higher cost. Customs are literally the same prime and 10x better. I can legitimately have 3 browsers 50 windows each open an MMO run at 200 FPS and not scream when I’m typing in a google doc and it freezes for the same price. Admittedly, I haven’t tried the new macs mostly because idk how to use the OS at this point and the icons on the bottom row trigger me.
The M2 chip? You can built the best pc in the world for half the price of a top tier mac, and it outperforms the M2 chip. Classic apple marketing at play.
That R1 chip w the M2 better not lag on me though when I’m living in an augmented reality 🤣”the apple vision pro is the first apple product you look through” is gonna be hella awkward when I lag from my couch to the wall 😂
Def seem to be a great CPU architecture they have built.
